Skyrise School of Duncanville is amazing. My son is now 2 years old and has been attending this center since he was 4 months old. Every milestone and teacher since has always been a great experience. My son loves everyone from the Director, assistant directors, the centers cook and his teachers. He has a lovely routine and says hi to everyone in the mornings, this just reassures me how much he loves the center because he feels like they are his second family. He tells me about his day everyday and it is amazing that with the app updates I can have detailed conversations with him about his activities and I can tell in his reactions that he is happy to know that I am aware of what he does through out his days. His current teachers are amazing, follow curriculum and update me which allows me to implement it and enforce it at home. My son was born premature and his development has never fallen behind, his Dr. Has even told me his development is ahead for his age, we could not have this results without the help of this center, the curriculum and the teachers. Thank you Ms. Laura, Ms. Cheryl, Ms. T, Ms. Nene, Ms. Maddie, Ms. Karla, Ms. Martha, Ms. Yanil and all the other teachers and staff that make Skyrise...
Read moreI have been going to this daycare for years and haven’t had problems. My son loved it, as well as my daughter (she’s non-verbal) I would like to be clear that I have no problem with the teachers. I have a problem with the director Karla. My child’s name was brought into an investigation twice this year and the first time Karla lied to the investigator and mentioned she spoke with me…she didn’t!! And the second time around she only reach out after the investigator called me. Per the investigator she has a habit of conducting her own investigations into accused teachers versus going through the proper channels to let a 3rd party (CIS) to conduct their own unbiased review. Initially when Karla shared details on about the second investigation she failed to mention the first one! I had to hear it from the investigator only after they requested my contact info. It’s even worse because my child is non-verbal and unable to speak up for herself. Karla you should be ashamed in how you handled my kid and I warn all of you to be aware of this location with Karla as...
Read moreOur son went here about 2 days - it was his first experience in daycare at the age of 3. He kept trying to run out of the room and there wasn't enough staff to watch him so he almost ran out of the building. They ended up basically rejecting him from the daycare after 2 days only because he was a safety issue to them (i.e. they didn't want him to escape and them be sued instead of helping through a difficult transitory period of his life)....instead of trying to work with him. Long story short - took him to Children's Learning Academy on Danieldale Rd - he has done great. I have now wondered how easily they gave up on my son and how little staff they had - how ill equipped their staff were to deal with a toddler frightened and away from his parents for the first time in his life. I've used other Kindercares for my older children in the past and never had a problem. I'll stick with Children's Learning Academy...
