Every single time I come to this pharmacy there is an issue. I not only checked the app to make sure my script was ready but I also called before I left just to make sure I wasn’t about to go drive 20 minutes there for no reason. The person on the phone, which I made sure wasn’t the call center but was someone INSIDE the store, just to make sure there weren’t any discrepancies with the system not updating correctly so I wouldn’t be wasting my time, and they said it was ready and they would hold it until the 15th, which is 5 days from now. I pulled into the line which had 6 cars in it. I waited 27 minutes!! For them to then tell me it wasn’t ready and it wouldn’t be until 6pm, which was 4 hours away. This isn’t the first time something like this happened, I wouldn’t be doing a review if it were, I like to give people the benefit of the doubt and I’ve worked as a pharmacy tech for several years AT A WALGREENS so I know it can get busy and overwhelming at times because they’re ALWAYS understaffed. My issue is that I called to make sure I wasn’t going out of my way, or wasting my time, and it was STILL wasted, I had so many other things I could’ve been getting done, but instead another wasted freaking day. This pharmacy needs to just close down altogether, it’s pitiful and absolutely pathetic that they’re allowed to continue to do this to patients who need their medication, especially considering mine is heart medicine that is essential to keeping me from having a stoke…..and they can’t even manage to have 30 capsules filled within 4 days of me ordering it online from the app? And then lied to me saying it was ready? I don’t understand how else that would happen. The app says it’s ready, the pharmacy tech works inside the store said it was ready, but yet when I pulled in 6 min after speaking to the woman, she said it was indeed not ready and wouldn’t be for over 4hrs???? So ridiculous. Fire the whole team and start from scratch at this point smh I’m switching...
Read moreI had to have an rx transferred here as my usual mail order pharmacy eventually informed me it was on back order. (Turned out to be false. It's discontinued & no one bothered informing me) I use this pharmacy for my local prescriptions which is why I chose it for the transfer. I've been getting a huge run around due to the wording of the rx. So I went in person to my Dr's office and requested a physical copy of it with the proper wording. Instead, they sent it in and assured me it was properly written this time. I went to Walgreens on the way to pick up a grocery order just to make sure they received it. I was not expecting it to be filled at that exact moment. Just making sure it was sent in correctly. The lady who assisted me was polite and saw the previous rx that was sent in, not the new one. She asked the pharmacist about it. (Which is also how I found out about the discontinued rx). I explained to him I was just trying to make sure the new one was received. He proceeded to tell me it was written wrong yadda yadda nothing he can do. I reiterated I had just left the Dr's office and it was just sent again with proper verbiage. He then interrupted me and says, "IF I can get a word in, like I said. It is written wrong and there's nothing we can do." I again repeated... A new one was just sent 10/15 minutes ago. I really need this rx filled as I've been dealing with this issue since last week. I'm out. I was only wanting to know they received it. His suggestion??? Go to ER. Now, an hour later I see the rx is in progress. So they did get it. He could've said sometimes it takes an hour to receive or something. Anything but being as rude and condescending as he was. He had me in tears and absolutely mortified. So, I called CVS and started and transfer. I'll never utilize Walgreens for anything again. Not trelogy, promacta,...
Read moreIt is now 4:15 Easter Sunday afternoon. My wife drove back to the Maricamp Ocala store to talk to a store manager and find out why they were blocking my pain medication. We were told yesterday that they were out of stock and they were expecting a delivery from Orlando on Monday. The acting manager and my wife then walked to the pharmacy and asked the employees if they were out of the medication yesterday, as told to us. The medication was in stock and my wife paid for it. The employees purposely told us they were out of stock. We now have a pharmacy that does not know the status of their stock on a powerful opioid. Think about that. Telling an elderly, injured man that the needed medication was out of stock when it was right there in front of them. The stress of these last two days has taken its toll, as I am a cardiac patient. WALGREEN’S ON MARICAMP DOES NOT KNOW THE CURRENT STOCK ON OXYCODONE. This is not the first time events like this have happened. I now have the direct phone # of a regional big shot and I plan a long talk with him. With the pending purchase of Walgreens, people are likely on a layoff list, but they need to pay attention. The outcome of my talk with the big shots will determine if I will fire Walgreens for negligence and not shop there anymore. We spend around $250.00 per month there. THIS WILL NO LONGER...
