Horrible Experience! I ordered a lot of gifts for my college girlfriends which I needed to ship out before Christmas. I ordered these gifts on November 19, 2020. Every time I would check the status of my order it would just say “Processing”. I tried to call but only got voicemail. I tried to live chat and never got a response. I finally found the email address to the corporate office and sent an email. I finally received a response today that told me that my items were not available and that I would be refunded. I am so upset that I was allowed to put these items in my cart and purchase them only to find out they were not available. Nothing was communicated to me. If I would not have found the corporate email address I would have never found this out. I have been a loyal customer with Altar’d State for many years. I will no longer ever shop there again or give them my business as I find this customer service horrible and totally unacceptable. Very disappointing as I do like their merchandise but not worth the horrible customer service and lack of communication. I choose to spend my money at other stores. I just hope that many other people don’t find them in this same situation waiting for Christmas gifts that will...

We went to this store on Saturday September 22 around 3:30 pm. The customer service was fantastic. We walked in and were immediately greeted by a friendly staff member. We had to leave to feed our baby but when we came back to browse I was assisted in looking for casual wear. While in the dressing room the staff not only checked on me but suggested other clothing items and brought them to me in my size. They helped me find my size as I am 9 weeks postpartum and didn’t know my size. They informed me of their sale items and recommended clothing I never would have picked but loved! As I waited in line to check out the manager ( I assume) that was assisting in the dressing room saw me standing in line for about 5 minutes and promptly after noticing jumped onto a register to help check me out. This staff member was one of the only ones tending to the dressing room but still made time to pick out clothing items, grab new sizes, and even jump on the register to ring up my items. I had already loved this store but having this type of customer service is exactly the experience I enjoy when shopping! They go above and beyond! They even remember your name and write it on your dressing room...

Went to altar’d state last week and wanted to get something for a wedding for this weekend. The whole time I felt like I was being followed and judged. When asking if I wanted a fitting room I was being looked up and down and not given genuine customer service. Ended up buying a couple of items on sale to try on at home (because I had just go off of work and felt gross and didn’t want to try them on like that). Tried to return them today because they didn’t look great on me and was told it was final sale because it was sale items. Totally understand this policy but was not voiced to me when purchasing the items or else I wouldn’t have bought them. Think this should be written on the receipt. The receipt states if you aren’t a happy with a purchase it can be returned but does not say anything about sale items. Will not be returning...
