BCS Repairs PROFESSIONAL audio equipment. PERIOD!! (Guitar amps, PA amps, Mixing console, keyboards, etc) And they do it very well with individualized effort. BCS has repaired lots of gear for me over the years, some that no one else would work on, and charged the MOST reasonable rates around! I would be lost without them! As for āgeniusesā like James H āI haven't even done business with this man and I can't stand him.ā Well thatās because YOU called with a problem related to cheap, consumer grade, home stereo electronics, not professional sound gear. OR The Clueless Jake S who canāt wire up his own 5.1 system and thinks thatās something any Radio Shack dude can do... Jeez, no clue... First of all Bull City never claims to install surround systems; second, doing so STILL makes the person working in your home a repair contractor. I would not have ANYONE doing work on my home who was not insured and who did not have references. So much for some dude at the strip mall who drills into your plumbing and does $10 grand of damage to your walls... But your reviewing a business, poorly at that, for NOT providing you with a service, that they DO NOT PROVIDE!! Get it!? And of course Mark R who also does NOT get it... One more time... YOUR cheap home stereo is NOT profession sound gear!!All THREE of these reviewers are mad that THEIR problems did not get solved even though Bull City Sound DOES NOT DO THIS KIND OF WORK!! This is like giving a doctor a poor review because when you called him for advice on your sick dog, he declined because he specializes in PEOPLE, and you got angry about it... Pathetic! BUT!!! IF you have a REAL pro audio equipment issue, Bull City is a great shop, with a wide knowledge base and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI cant imagine asking a repair shop to set up my home stereo; they come in a box with some papers and often funny little pictures called wiring diagrams and schematics. As for someone who can fix frayed wires, we all know such a person - after all, don't we brush their teeth everyday?
Once you've put on your big-boy pants, you come to appreciate the professionalism, genius and determination (and sense of humor) of Russ Rose and his amazing crew.
I have been a customer of BCS for 25 years. Junk and Litter? You cant go anywhere in 10 neighboring states to see the priceless and timeless equipment that passes through the shop. Russ should charge admission to come in. There is a lot of rich history one should take in as you literally watch the world of musical equipment unfold and evolve as you pan the room.
Russ and the team have kept my 1992 Ensoniq SQ-2 (not purchased at Walmart) like new, as it continues to serve me today. In fact he resurrected it from the dead on two occasions.
I applaud the positive comments many true musicians have left here. I couldn't agree with you more. J Beard - I wish you ran in the 2016 Presidential race! Right on dude.
Keep rockin and rappin America - and keep us doing it BCS!
P.S. I'll see ya guys in about 45 minutes - the "patient" is dying...
Ā Ā Ā Read more5 stars for being human and unashamed of how they do business. Takes guts. But then again, no idea where else you can go these days for a service like this. It felt a little like the "soup nazi" version of electronics repair.
1 star for lack of responsiveness and communication throughout the process.
1 star for this experience... I was called and told my device was ready for pickup. The gentleman communicated/confirmed their hours: 9-1 and 2-5, M-F. Cool, thanks. I arrived at 9am. No one there. I called, no answer. 9:58am arrives (I decided I had to just wait it out since I drove 40 minutes 1 way to pick up my item - I figured they would open at some point) and someone finally shows up. I said, "I was told you open at 9." The reply was as honest and dumbfounding as it could have been (just like the feel of the whole experience), "Well, we do open at 9... unless we open at 10."
There was something else going on with another customer who had arrived almost at the same time the associate appeared from the back yard of the house(?). Not mine to review, but I sure hope he got his stuff worked out. At least I walked away with something that was fixed.
I debated whether or not to do a one star or two star rating, but 3 stars seems to be the most respectful given that my device was...
