Unpleasant Experience - Unjust Accusations and Poor Customer Service
I recently had a distressing visit to Maceyâs grocery store that left me deeply disappointed with their service. During my checkout, a register malfunction falsely accused me of not scanning an item in my bags. To my dismay, the attendant assumed I was stealing and proceeded to check my bags without even asking for my consent. This made me feel incredibly uncomfortable and embarrassed.
What bothered me even more was the lack of proper customer service from the store management. I promptly called for the manager to address the situation, hoping for a resolution and an apology. However, the manager seemed indifferent and uncaring, which only added to my frustration.
As a loyal customer, I expected better treatment and respect from Maceyâs. Wrongfully accusing customers of theft and disregarding their discomfort is unacceptable in any retail setting. I had hoped for a more understanding response from the manager, but unfortunately, I left the store feeling unheard and upset.
I urge Maceyâs management to take this incident seriously and provide better training for their staff on handling such situations. Customers deserve to be treated with dignity and respect, and incidents like this can have a significant impact on oneâs shopping experience.
I hope that my feedback will prompt the necessary changes to ensure that no other customer goes through a similar distressing encounter in the future. Until I witness improvements in the storeâs practices and customer service, Iâm afraid I cannot recommend Maceyâs to others.
Overall, my recent visit to Maceyâs was marred by wrongful accusations and disappointing customer service. I sincerely hope that the management takes this feedback to heart and takes concrete actions to improve their...
Read moreThis place should be shut down. The chicken in the deli is left out RAW for up to 1 hour during prep. They use a broken shelf that no longer produces heat to put rotisserie chickens on for multiple hours at a time. The entire store has a faint smell of sewage and has built up grime on every surface and shelf. I've accidently bought a body wash that had expired in 2021, which I didn't notice until I developed a rash. I've gotten food poisoning from frozen fish from here, which was probably left out for many minutes during the freight process (which I have seen happen here).
Lastly, the management treats their employees terribly. I applied for a job, and they expected me to work a closing shift and then an opening shift the next morning. I told the store manager I wasn't able to work certain days, and when I was scheduled those days, he said he didn't remember that (because he didn't write it down or anything). My fiance witnessed a much older female manager verbally berate a teenage employee to tears in front of customers for having a bathroom emergency. My fiance spoke up for the girl, and the manager told him to mind his own business.
The Ridleys in Eagle Mountain is run by the same company and isn't all that better. There's literally no good grocery store in Eagle Mountain. We use a cooler full of ice and just go to Walmart in Saratoga Springs now, even though this Maceys is 5...
Read moreWent the second day they were open and it wasnât to badly packed. Great produce and deli section. Lots of choices to pick from. Seems like decent prices items! I like how most if not all of the items are tagged. Like if itâs keto friendly or gluten free it will have it under the price tag! Super neat. The bakery has a lot to offer also. The face wash and other like items were great priced and had a lot of variety. Not a big makeup selection thou. Very small compared to other stores. Over all super stoked for this store! Employees were super nice too.
Update- pharmacy is amazing. No more long lines like Walgreens. Feels like a old fashion one. Like a home feeling. My whole family moved our prescriptions there.
Bakery- not 5 stars. The employee I made the cake request with knew nothing about cakes request or cakes in general it seemed. I asked him if what I chose was âsheet cake sizeâ like the square cakes and said yes but when I got it it was horrible. Totally not what I wanted. If they knew I wanted happy birthday âsons nameâ wouldnât fit on the cake they should have called and said confirmed. It was very obvious for what I asked for wasnât going to fit. It was just awful I was super upset. Thankfully the manger that day gave me a discount but after getting it home and taking it out of the box is when I found out it was worse...
