My husband and I stopped in for a drink on a Wednesday afternoon around 4:45 pm. My husband had said in advance , “if they don’t have anything you like, we’ll leave” since I’m not a cigar smoker. We were pleasantly surprised to find that besides cigars, there was beer on tap, wine, and a full bar with top shelf alcohol for their craft cocktails. The staff was extremely welcoming to us both and told us to sit wherever we liked, even on the rooftop bar. We chose the rooftop bar and it was awesome because the weather was great out! They had big, round comfy sofas with coffee tables and side tables for drinks. They brought up ice water right away without us asking. I was thinking wine and asked how the Rose was, so they brought up a taste first. It was too dry for me, so I ordered Chardonnay and it was ok- would like to see them carry more choices such as Ferrari Carrano, Rombauer, and even wines from the local wineries. My husband had IPA on tap and settled on a cigar also. Across from us was a group of all ladies enjoying cigars and drinks. We loved the atmosphere, the friendly staff, and the comfy vibe. We also liked that Sturmans was welcoming to women and set up their bar with pleasing colors, furniture, staff and offered drinks that the ladies like also- not just cigars and bourbon! Sturman's new cigar lounge is absolutely awesome. Every detail has gone into building this a place to not only enjoy your favorite cigar, but to savor it to the last puff. The building is beautiful with it's huge enclosed area and 3rd floor deck. The bar is gorgeous and has a spectacular selection of any spirit you would want. The wine cellar is very unique. Then, best of all, the humidor! Wow! The selection of cigars is perfect for the first time cigar smoker to the seasoned afficinado. The prices are fair and there are also the celebration cigars..the one you buy on that special occasion in life. The one you've read about but never really seen before. Epic cigar lounge! The staff is full with wonderful personalities eager to serve. The charming details throughout the business make for a relaxing and unique atmosphere. Cigar selection is fantastic, they consistently have the highest variety and amount of Connecticuts as well as many others. My husband and I can always look forward to finding a favorite, or trying something new! We have different pallets which they accommodate very well.
