Reid Merrill Park — Attraction in Eagle

Beautiful park, with covered areas to enjoy many different types of events. Great area for children to play on equipment, along with a water feature for dem hot days🌡. A larger covered area with plenty of seating is located in the center of the park, with paved/gravel trails branching off in many directions, for the adventures of your choosing, 🚣‍♂️🤸‍♂️🤸‍♀️🎣🚴‍♂️⛹️‍♂️⛹️‍♀️🧘‍♂️🧘‍♀️🎉🎊🤵🏽👰🤳🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️! The Snake River runs along this park, with small creeks built through the area, allowing for faint trickling water sounds to relax the mind and soul! There are many shade trees🌳 throughout the park, wild flowers🌼🌻 & grasses🌾, but with all this beauty, there are plenty of bees🐝 and mosquitoes😩. Dont let that stop you from visiting this well...

Nice atmosphere for outdoor get togethers and kids parties! Playground equipment and splash pad were is good condition, which the kids loved! The greenery was well kept and stayed cool on hot days. The parking lot is probably 1/2 the size it needs to be to handle the amount of people the park was set up for. So we had to follow a train of cars to the overflow public parking on the far end of the park. The bathrooms had nice building materials but needed some cleaning (like any public bathroom really). The lack of paper towel dispensers prevents individuals from cleaning up some messes, which would help with the bathroom sanitation in my opinion. Overall it is a pleasant place to visit. Terrific! A couple of tall slides, swings and some unique equipment that will please any kid. The splash pad was great and was still on when we left at 8:30pm. The bike path goes right by this park and it will take you all the way to Boise if you want. This path leads to a beautiful bridge over the Boise river where on the other side are some sandy beaches with slow moving shallow water for my 4 yr old grandson to wade in. We were here throwing rocks and building a dam for almost 2 hrs. It truly is the best of Idaho and Eagle. The park has bathrooms and just enough parking. This is our go...
