I typically have a wonderful experience at this Aldi, which is why i wont give it a lower star rating based off one bad experience, but today (08/31/2025), I unfortunately ended up in Traci's line, according to my receipt. I had a cart full of kids (one being an infant that uses a cart cover while in shopping carts. I nearly had my cart unloaded when she started ringing out our items and placing them in another cart. She then stated that she'd need our cart back. She had the next customer in line bring her cart around the register so she could place her items in her cart, while I was standing there quickly unloading the cart she loaded into the cart that had my children in it.
This whole time, there was a cart at the closed register behind her that she could have got up and used so I didnt have to hurriedly empty the other cart that she "needs back."
I have ALWAYS had a great experience here, but I feel like this needed to be addressed. When you see a mom with 4 kids, 2 of them in the cart, and one being an infant with a cart cover, and they nearly have their cart emptied onto the conveyor belt, please just be patient and wait a moment. There wasn't a long line of customers, and I honestly had 3 things left in my cart to unload onto the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI don't know why so many people rant and rave about this store. First of all, one of the cashiers is idiot enough to insult guys in code language if they don't pay attention to her. Happened to me in the daylight hours of 12/20/2018. I have news for her: she should stick to running a cash register because she'll never be a beauty queen. Secondly, this place reminds me of a third world market where people are packed in so tight they could smell each others armpits. Hint..hint..build an addition onto the original structure...its long overdue. Then, there are the prices...they charge an arm and a leg for just about everything except the canned vegetables. I tend to avoid the Calcutta Aldi's unless I want cheap vegetables or Deutsche Kuche rye bread. This particular Aldi's sucks in my opinion. And, I have a suggestion for the management: How about stocking the shelves by adding an overnight shift....your employees are getting in the way of the shoppers. One compliment...they sell Irish cheeses and Irish butter. At least doing that much adds a touch of class but doesn't compensate much for the suckbag vibes this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAldiās is just wonderful. Not only can you get about twice the amount of groceries as Giant Eagle or Kroger, but it is nearly twice the quality, too. Their products rarely contain food dyes (which my child has sensitivities to) and also limited preservatives. Probably because many of their foods come from Europe (obviously not the fresh ones) Only reason I usually hop over to Giant Eagle (which is adjacent) is for their superior deli products and my particular...
