A few months ago we were renting a mini van for a trip to Florida from wv a 22 hr drive. When I got in the van I seen the tire light came on before I left the parking lot so I turned around the service guy told me ill go put some air in it... I said no I want it checked we have a very long drive ahead..so he said ill have to take it the shop up the street he did came back about 15 mins later said that if i wanted to take it up to Monroe he will be with me shortly and we could leave from there I said ok saves me time so I was ok with it. Once we got to Monroe the mechanic was very nice he took the tire off I was watching all this it was bad inter wall was stripped and their was debris is the tire so he checked the other 4 similar on the other tires he said well tires definitely need replaced we will have u going in no time then the other mechanic called him over to look at something the axle was busted and there was no way I could take the vehicle. The mechanic said he would not allow me to drive this vehicle even back to enterprise because it was a death trap in its condition. So the most disturbing part about this is the phone call back to enterprise where they tried to convince the mechanic to just take the vehicle anyway... yes I heard the whole thing they wanted him to slap new tires on it and let me take it he refused to this several times where then he put me on the phone where they offered me a free upgrade but small passenger and I declined so they gave me a full refund... the mechanic said he's been telling them they need to do more than a visual inspection on these vehicles.. this van was a 2020 with less than 30,000 miles on it... we could have been killed all to make $$$ we will never ever use any...
Read moreWe were hoping to rent a 12-passenger van for our yearly trip to North Carolina, but the only thing available was a 15-passenger. Had called about a month early, but the 12-passenger van was already booked. We really didn't have a choice, so got what was there. Having said that, it was probably a good thing, since we had to take out one seat in the middle for a child seat to fit. Without removing the seat, the child seat actually hit the seat in front, so absolutely no room for his legs... Also took out the back seat to make room for everyone's luggage and necessary baby items for the 9-month old. Two car seats plus 4-5 adults, plus all our junk, and we were pretty comfortable. We might not have been nearly as comfortable in a 12-passenger van. We also found that there was a leak underneath somewhere because the floor of the front passenger seat was wet the entire time. This was discovered when a backpack was set on the floor and we tried to figure out how it got wet... Overall, no complaints. It did take my husband awhile to get the hang of driving something that long...we did bump a couple of curbs early on. As much as we'd have preferred to pay for the 12-passenger, I think the 15-passenger was the best deal for our comfort. People at Enterprise were very cordial and polite and easy to work with. Thanks for adding to...
Read moreI got a great rental rate at this local Enterprise with a very convenient location. I picked up the rental van at the end of the day. It had to be brought in from another location and arrived while I was waiting. They quickly cleaned it and did an inspection. When I got inside, an overhead compartment in the back was duct taped to the ceiling! The van was also still dirty. I want to be clear that I don't blame this location for the condition of the van. That responsibility lies with the Enterprise location that sent it in that condition. However, I had to clean the van myself before we left on our vacation early the next morning. We also ended up having to retape the failing compartment after the heat loosened the tape and several of us hit our heads on it. We did enjoy the van, and it ran well, got us where we needed to be. MOST IMPORTANTLY is the way that this location handled the situation. They were wonderful. They compensated me more than I expected. I will use this location again. I feel like I should give them 5 stars, but the truth of the matter is Enterprise should never have rented out a vehicle in that condition. AGAIN, I WILL USE THIS ENTERPRISE...
