I would give it a one. My wife and I have been customers of Norman’s in 2 states for many years! While on our 45th anniversary in early December, we went to our favorite Norman’s in Kennett Square. The young lady who claimed to be the manager treated 2 senior citizens very poorly over a potential purchase! I contacted the corporate headquarters and I believe it was a man named Vinny and he lied to us, stuck up for her and promised us coupons in the mail which we never received. Hallmark in Kansas City should be made aware about this as should the CEO of Normans. I was a marketing major in the day and while the customer is not always right, the customer is all there is! Tons of children's gifts, greeting cards, jewelry, soaps, knick knacks, kitchen items, storage bags, etc. I usually check out the clearance section and pick up free cards during free card fridays! If you sign up for the Hallmark rewards program you get coupons and updates on sales. I've found some pretty clever and unique gifts in there but full price can be a bit expensive. Read moreThis is a lovely, well maintained store. I had always enjoyed shopping at the Kennett Square store until recent visits. The salesperson, who is the older lady, is quite unfriendly and acts as if your purchase is a bother to ring up. I've not ever seen her smile and her interactions with the other sales people are not positive ones. Perhaps a little more training in customer service would be helpful.
