If I could put 0 stars I would. They actually made me cry in the store. They were condescending all while not listening to a word I said; the conversations went in circles. First I made an appointment only to arrive and be told that there is a new lady working who takes the appointments and she started conveniently right after I made my appointment. Needless to say I wasnāt seen that day. After that, for 6 weeks Iāve been calling them to reschedule and no one answers or itās more ālostā appointments. Words can NOT describe the experience Iāve had today. Iāve been going there for eyeglasses since I was 7 years old. Now at age 21, I can gladly say that I will never step foot in this establishment even if my life depended on it. The change of doctors and staff are incredibly noticeable. They need to clean house immediately. Iāve had my fair share of bad service in my life but none that have ever made me cry, have multiple panic attacks, and severely effect my mental health. And all because I just wanted one pair of replacement glasses. Please if youāre reading this take your business elsewhere. Elegant Eyes isnāt the establishment it once was. I never leave reviews but Iām beyond ecstatic to have this one as my first. DO. NOT. GIVE. THEM. YOUR. SERVICE Edit: Iāve just seen the owners reply and I must clarify, I was only told I could get a replacement pair by the other eye doctor that I tried to go to. The repair frames would be the same faulty ones that fell apart two years in a row ( I didnāt change frames for two years). The problem began when I tried to get an appointment early October around the time my original pair broke. I was given a schedule for the 30th ( almost 3 weeks after calling for said appointment). Then I arrive on the 30th only to be told my appointment did not exist and that there was a new lady that just started working there that Wednesday and she looked meticulously to find my appointment and if it was ever written down. The issue is not the replacement pair; itās the run around that has been occurring for months now and the apparent gaslighting. I literally told the lady that helped with my replacement pair this and she didnāt listen and just told me I shouldāve came the day before ( when they literally donāt allow walk ins and Iāve been trying for months to get an appointment ) Nevertheless issue is solved, a new eye doctor has been contacted , and the simple fact of me knowing that Iāll never step foot in this wretched place ever again helps me sleep...

Not giving working parents time to get there after a late day at work. The people that work there hired to interact with the customers I find to be pretentious and obnoxious.They are constantly on the hustle to make working parents buy expensive frames. Even to the point to deny that they had eye insurance covered frames until I decided to walk out and shop else where. I have gone there for several years because they were close to my home and I was to lazy to go anywhere else. Most recently I had to purchase a 2nd pair of glassed for my 12year old girl. 2/3 months later the plastic part of the right side came off, but the hinge and screw was still there. Taking a chance I went there and ask them if they could put any kind of arm on it that would fit. Keep in mind eye glasses have parts. It makes that their work station would have loose parts. Of course I was told that I would have to purchase a new frame. Discounted. In their defense I called several small and large chain eyeglass stores in New Jersey and they said the same thing and that with her not buying the glasses there they did not want to help. On a whim several days later I called a place close to where I was getting my physical therapy sessions in Bloomfield NJ. 0.3 miles JG optical 108 Broughton St.. I called first. The technician, a woman answered. I told her my situation. she said she would look at it. I did not know what to expect but she was friendly and took the time to look at it and took the glasses to her work room where she kept parts from glasses throughout her time there. She did have to stop to take care of a patient. I sat there wondering how much she would charge me for the right side arm, but I did not care. I appreciated the fact that she practiced old time customer service just buy being considerate to a work parent and child needs. Minutes later she came back with both sides replaced to make it match. on the side in glitter the word JUICY. when I asked her how much she said nothing and wish me a good night. Elegant Eyes will get the job done. But friendly and considerate service is not something they practice or think they have to. Utenzi was so helpful, she really took the time examining how each frame that she had sent me looked on my face as we narrowed the selection down. She was communicative, responsive and a pleasure to work with the entire time! And when my lenses started having a weird glare issue when they arrived, she quickly had the lenses replaced, no charge, no question. I cannot recommend her services more highly.
I've now had my new frames for about four months and Iāve been getting so many compliments on them! People literally stop me on the street, at the post office, at the grocery store - everywhere!
