I have a lot to say about Nci, I was a student for a 7 month construction program. This class is highly neglected. We waited one whole month for wood!! It’s construction the space is small and to wait one whole month for supplies is horrible. We did not do cement even tho it’s advertised. They did help me a lot knowing I stay at a shelter with my family. They helped by giving us clothing which I’m grateful for but as far as the school itself. I don’t know why they would false advertise the curriculum. They would claim we spent too much time on a project after having us wait for materials, to the point where our teacher would in the middle of class to buy everything himself at Home Depot. It’s not his fault but they were going to make us wait longer. They don’t let us take paid job while working but wanted our construction class to do plumbing for free in their administration office then they wanted us to the flooring which we declined. After both of those incidents they made us stop our class projects and move on to the next thing. Call it what you want but I believe this was intentional. We got the basic materials but they wanted us to do electrical again which we never did again but didn’t provide us with tools. All the other classes have extra of everything yet we had to share and pass around materials which prolonged the learning process seeing as to how most of us had to watch and wait to take a turn. I honestly felt like quitting due to the neglect they were showing my class. I stuck through it and finished thanks to the motivation from the teacher. Oh and pay attention when you take the tour. They tell you they give you time to find a job to start paying them back. It’s a lie these people only care about the money. Your return unless you take nursing will probably be $342 and you don’t get materials like that I swear Amazon sells the same stuff they gave us for $30 like I had to beg for pliers. When I took a school grant that was supposed to cover materials ext. What they tell you in the tour is not what they do towards the end. Also they do not help finding jobs. They fired the best person who was helping find student jobs. Yet they have someone who is supposed to be in charge Mrs. Christine she does everything in the world but help find jobs. When I first started school student who graduated prior to me gave me advise and that was to not rely on them to help find a job. They lie on their paperwork to get better numbers. She collects the attendance she is everywhere literally. Smoke break every 10 mins but doesn’t help find Jobs then blames others but you have been working there for years so like why is everyone to blame when the school promises to help find work.most people who go here are adults yet because it’s a school they speak to us like children and we aren’t. As someone who really needed this to know I’m job searching alone because the school only wants me to pay them back. Mind you they know I’m homeless in a shelter with my kids. I didn’t get asked about job interviews not one thing. I bet if you ask any of them now they wouldn’t even be able to answer you. They fired the girl who was helping us with it. But don’t worry NCI I’ll be back in November cause I know those people are coming. I’m going to tell them everything. I could’ve learned so much more had they not neglected the construction program. I have proof as well because since I started school I have pictures and videos of everything we have done. The advertising for NCI’s Construction program is false! We didn’t do any commercial building only residential and it was the...

I had a terrible experience at this school. While they promise hands-on training and career preparation, what they actually deliver is far from it. The instructors spend most of their time talking about their personal lives instead of teaching valuable skills. Upon graduating with the certification, you’re left unprepared to handle real-world situations, like working on air conditioning or heating systems. Their teaching is practically nonexistent, leaving students feeling lost and inadequately trained.
This school only seems to care about money, not about the well-being or success of its students. The administration is incredibly irresponsible, and the overall environment is unprofessional and unhelpful.
Additionally, if you’re referred here through Equus Workforce Solutions or any other government agency that promises extended unemployment benefits, be aware of their misleading terms. The benefits only last until the final day of school. For example, if your program ends on the 3rd of the month, your unemployment benefits will also stop on that day—leaving students in a terrible financial situation. Many students end up jobless, with no way to support themselves or their families. This setup is incredibly harmful, as it punishes students who are trying to improve their future.
I strongly advise anyone considering this school to think twice. It’s a waste of time and money, and it leaves you worse off than when...
Read moreMy son graduated from NCI JC campus a few years ago. Reviews for that site is disabled, I wonder why! The entire time they were not supportive, very unhelpful, there was a very little quality learning going on and the journal square jersey city building was in poor shape. They were very high energy in the beginning, they promised the world when they wanted to enroll you and get your money . For example: job placements, quality, skills, alumni support etc but none of that ever happened. My son tried so hard but he never ever got a job in his career and when I called to complain and to ask to get support, referral, internships placements anything, it went on deaf ears. They also sent the students far away on bogus internships, so if you didn't have a car you were screwed. In my opinion the school is pretty shady. I do not recommend the school at all it's a waste of money and time and most of the graduates do not get placed in good jobs. I've talked to many students in the past with similar complaints. I wish I would have known before enrolling. Thank goodness he got a good job doing something totally unrelated. NCI is just a part of his life that he tries to forget and skip over. Do...
