Condescending and close minded attitude towards customer.
The lady at the Verizon store was pretty much condescending, and was entirely unaware how to check Verizon offers.
I got an email offer from Verizon that said “We’ll pay off your phone. And give you a new iPhone 14.” with 128gb or pay $800 toward a different 14. I read all the fine print. Which further said in the terms “No, you don't need to make the remaining payments.” if you satisfy the terms of an early upgrade, which was if the over 50% of the current phone was already paid.
She just kept insisting I had to pay my phone off first, and went so far as to say the offer that said I just didn’t understand what Verizon’s website and email meant, which stated “We’ll pay off your phone. And give you a new iPhone 14.”. Further, that she did know what it meant, because she had been there 8 years. Further unwilling to look at the Verizon webpage I pulled up on my Ipad, and saying her other customers did the same and were wrong as well. Further stating Verizon would never do so, like I was trying to pull a fast one.
If the store doesn’t want to honor the offer, take the time to look it up further, just say that and I will leave. Don’t criticize the customer acting as though the misinterpreted what is clearly stated in the offer. Further stating their 8 years of experience overrides their short sighted attitude.
I ended up calling Verizon directly and getting the deal exactly as I expected based on the terms of the offer which the representative immediately found linked in my account, which is what I had tried to show the lady...
Read moreUpon arrival to this location, several representatives looked up at my mother and I and quickly looked away. We were never greeted however we were acknowledged after the silence in the room became overwhelming. Please be aware that we were the only customers in the store at that time. The disposition of the representatives had an underlying tonality of irritability and intolerance for our presence. I wanted to upgrade my mother's phone for her birthday and so I stayed despite the painfully awkward encounter. During our time there two other customers were greeted right away, and we're asked to be patient while they wrapped up with my mother and myself. I encountered another hiccup with trade in pricing (I went to the bartonsville location and the trade in price was higher. I did not move forward with the transaction at the bartonsville location because the location did not have my desired device in stock). I was going to pay for the device outrightly and my intention was to purchase a watch for my mother as well. I purchased 2 galaxy s21 devices from the bartonsville location and the entire team there is friendly. I came here and the experience was contrastingly different. I would give the bartonsville location a 10/10 with regard to customer service. This location does not deserve the one star...
