Arrived on mother's day. Place was not busy at all. We were seated at a hibachi table and we're the only ones at that table for a good twenty minutes. We had our drinks and soup and salad and were waiting on the cook to come out any minute when they decided to seat a family of six at our same table. We had to wait for them to get their drinks and appetizers before we could get our hibachi food even though we were there way before they were. I had my eight year old son with us who had to sit there for an extra half hour watching another family eat even though he was hungry. My husband attempted to rectify this with the owner so the cook could cook for us while the other family enjoyed their appetizers only to be told this is how all hibachi restaurants do it around here. We weren't asking for much, just to be served in a timely manner. Eventually the cook made it out and we tried to enjoy mother's day even with this issue. They could have easily sat this family at another hibachi table since we were so far ahead of them in waiting already. I wish I could give ZERO stars. This use to be our go to spot! It has completely taken a turn for the worse!!! Customer service, food, everything. We Ordered $60 worth of food. 3 chicken and broccoli combos, dumplings, and chicken wings. Barely any chicken in all 3 of the combos. Literally less than half of the container full. It seemed like it was chicken pieces they use for the chicken fried rice meaning it was tiny! This was around 3pm so it’s not like it was late in the day, as they open at 11am. The rice was hard, not fully cooked, it was overly greasy. How can rice be hard and still greasy. I’ve had a similar experience one time before with really hard rice. I thought maybe that was a bad day let’s give it a try. I am so disappointed. As I was leaving the man at the counter Jimmy was talking to me. I engaged in conversation. Right at the end he said “now you get back to work to feed all your kids” I looked at him confused, he then said “you come in here with allllllll of your kids right, you have so many kids” and laughed. Been going here regularly since they opened ( when I was 9) I am now 22 and I still go in every week or when I can. They recently moved down a few stores to a bigger lot. A lot of people think they were bought by new people, and that they have new staff, but they JUST moved. Its a family owned business, so everyone there has been there for years! Sometimes I go in and they are too overwhelmed to chat or say hi, otherwise they are always friendly, always running around and always working hard. The food here doesn't contain MSG unless there are mushrooms, mushrooms have it naturally. I'm highly allergic to MSG , (which is the reason I first went here with my family) but we all know and love it dearly! if you're used to the saltiness and "flavor" of other american Chinese food places, you will taste the difference.
