Curlicue — Local services in Easton

I was in the store today and the owner greeted my grandmother, my sister, and I politely and then we continued to walk around. The store had cute items and I enjoyed walking around and looking at the products. On a table there was a wine bottle filled with bubble bath that I knew my friend would love, so I picked it up to smell it. Now before buying soap, I’m sure any person would want to smell the product, so I opened the lid, WHICH DID NOT HAVE A SEAL ON IT, to smell the soap. When I did this the owner came over to me and started stuttering and she took the bottle out of my hand and put it in the back. She then came out saying “it’s okat it’s all good”. She did not explain why she took the bottle from me or why she had a problem with me smelling the product I was going to BUY from her store. The rest of the time I was in the store, she was staring me down like I was a criminal. When I was in the store I saw her react the same way to a woman who was picking up a plate. Are customers not allowed to look at the products they are going to buy? My grandmother has bought a lot from this store and has been very happy with it in the past, however, those appraises were not reflected at all in our...
