DO NOT take your garments to Dinah's! I have never encountered such unprofessional seamstress work. My wife took a bridesmaid dress to Dinah, and asked to have extra panels of fabric added down the sides as she is now 7 months pregnant (6 at the time of dropping the dress off). Instead of telling her that she didn't know HOW to do this, Dinah acted as if it would be no problem. She was charged for adding 4" panels of fabric to the sides, however this was never actually done. The only thing she managed to do was let out the original seams (giving maybe an extra 2" to the whole dress), tear out the lining from the bust area, and break the zipper. She was unable to properly reattach the zipper, and so created a zipper that severely bunched. Fast forward to 1 month and 3 trips to the shop later, and you will see below the horrendous mess that she was left to deal with and wear in a wedding in 3 days. I mention the 3 trips to the shop because at her first appointment (3 weeks after leaving dress there) she had not yet done any work. At her second appointment to pick up the dress she took a random trip to Philadelphia and did not bother to call and inform her that she would be missing the appointment. And so, my wife took a 3rd 20 mile trip to the shop the same day to pick up the destroyed dress. Luckily, she was able to take her dress to Nordstrom where the seamstress corrected all of the botched and un-finished sewing in 4 hours....YES 4 hours instead of 1 month! We cringe when we think about the wedding dresses that were there hanging in her shop to be worked on. Total waste of time, money and more stress than we ever...

I’m in the process of planning my wedding a good friend of mine used her to design her dress...well thank goodness I didn’t use her. She had 8+months to do a dream wedding dress. Cancelled several appointments and made excuse after excuse to just deliver a terrible attempt at a wedding gown not the correct lace, holes in the fabric, unaligned stitching, uneven straps, uneven zipper, and just ridiculously off from the original design. The Monday before a Saturday wedding!!! Now mind you this can all be considered one sided but how can someone create text messages with time stamps to prove their case? When confronted about it she didn’t answer the phone call or call back until she was told she wanted a refund after the week before she agreed if everything wasn’t ready she would in fact refund the money. Now she is refusing to talk to my friend and publicly bashed her on her business page. She keeps taking down pictures of her “finished” dress if they are posted because she knows it’s not good work. She was a very friendly and nice lady but!! Very disappointing and frustrating experience though. I took a couple pair of pants to be altered, evening went great. Second time took a few more pairs of jeans and I got no reply to calls for about two weeks then she missed multiple times to pickup my clothes. I finally got them and they were still an inch to long.
