TLDR: The reward point system is inconsistent and frustrating, eclipsing the whole experience. I don't know if I'm going to be back.

I have really enjoyed rise up coffee and food over the last few years. I regularly purchase and enjoy both their whole bean ground coffee at home and their crafted espresso drinks in store. But the recent addition of a rewards program and several different apps to track or use the points accrued through it has been a total flop in my opinion. It feels petty, but expecting to be able to use the points and ending up paying for the coffee is pretty frustrating. The worst part is the inconsistency. I've had baristas who have had zero clue there is any rewards program. I've had some who have known about it and used my points in-store. And I've had some tell me that my points are for online use only. Is this because the company is doing a poor job training their staff? Or is it because they have seemingly changed apps several times and can't figure out what they want people to use? I have over 300 points in the Cash App rewards "wallet." There is no indication that they are for online use only. There is also no clear way of using the points in the online system. They should have waited to introduce a system until they knew how it would work and had trained all employees on it. I don't think I'm going to be back for a while. And this is not the baristas fault. They are giving me the information they have been given. It just feels like a testament to growing too big too fast, all the details are getting dropped and the customer experience...

Reviews can bring out the BEST AND BE USED for positive change. I originally gave a 3 Star - it was hard for I love this place but after what transpired (hurrah) I changed it. Yay! Dear Barista, ... With great joy I enetered ready to order because when I visit Easton, this is my go to place. I asked for a Breve Cortado. - Aka. Equal parts milk (or sub) to shot of espresso. I was given a flat white and I simply asked for it to be remade "equal parts 2 to 2 please. She didn't seem to like that .. She rinsed my cup out .( I didn't warrant a clean one, I guess) and made it and with a slight SLAM, placed ut on the counter and walked away without eye contact. OH barista, why do you act in such a manner? I hope you smile again.

UODATE: Taylor the manager made her way over and took time to chat about the review and she stated it is a great opportunity to train. I get it. She gave me cute tokens which I shared with some locals.

UPDATE 2 Emma (barista) made her way over and super apologized and said that is NOT the RiseUp way. I said I get it, it happens and glad she took take time to walk over to talk. Thank...

Love, love, love this place and the Mad Eggs breakfast place attached to it. We went here on a Sunday morning, ordered coffee (one regular and one latte) and the egg and chorizo breakfast burrito. We were not expecting something so good. The coffee was one of the best I've had and I have traveled Europe, the U.S., and Latin America. We were shocked at how good the coffee is. Please note -- the sizes are surprisingly large, so you may want to order a size down from your normal. Also, the burrito was pretty great too. I would have added peppers, tomatoes and maybe even an avocado to the burrito, but the salsa verde is so wonderful that I understand that the burrito doesn't really need anything else. Oh -- and the staff is really wonderful as well. They were super friendly,...

Raymond, Louie and I traveled to Easton, MD. to pick up and hang with another friend (Jessica) for awhile. We drove an hour to do this, so the first thing we wanted was a rest room and coffee. Jessica guided us to, 'Rise Up Coffee Roasters' and told us, "This is where I hang out, mostly in the evening". It's a nice down to earth coffee house with inside and outside seating. Once inside you can either stand in the fairly long line for, what I was told is a great choice of java, or grab a cup of regular coffee from the counter and put a dollar in the jar. That's what I did, I grabbed a medium grade cup of Joe and went outside for a seat. I would advise a sit down here if you're in the area. While outside I took photos of some vans that I thought were pretty cool.

I love the unique set up! There’s a tent with hot air blowing, and you order your coffee in the cafe, get your breakfast burrito from the stand outside, and eat in the tent! The matcha with almond milk was delicious, and they have a rooibos (African) tea that is a brand I hadn’t tried before (water & leaf tea company). The muffin was okay. Not amazing. But it had real berries and that’s what counts. Also, this is the only place open at 6. Every other place opens at 7. Plenty of parking. Tiny step up to get in but not big. Oh! And they have Natalie’s OJ and Harney & sons juice. Top notch!

Was excited to try this as local recommendation for coffee and looks good / good reviews. Service is fine, not a long wait, but I asked for a flat white. I was asked size (flat whites are traditionally 8oz anyways) and I asked for smallest possible, and shown the cup. Drink was made as a latte in a 12oz cup. I was rushing as family was In the car waiting so couldn’t ask about this and there was a queue, otherwise I would have and sadly I couldn’t really taste the coffee as it was like a cup of hot milk with a hint of coffee. After a flat white down town that was amazing, this was disappointing.
