Karen's Thrift Shop — Local services in Eaton Township

My son and my self and my husband decided to stop to see what this store had to offer ..we love thrift store and small business.. so my son's were more then excited to see all the toys .. we were only in the store for maybe 3mins when the lady at the counter became very cautious of the boys and as a mom i get it .. but my son's were on there best behavior and I was with them the whole 3 mins .. my oldest walked a lil be a head but still in eye sight of me and his father.. he picked up a stuffed animal to show my other son ..when this lady very rudely told him to not touch anything the store unless he purchased it .. little did she know we head already plan on buys some stuff just the lil bit time we were in there.. my oldest at which point put it back where they went as he had been doin . I all for support small business but when ur rude to customers the first three mins in the door .. it super bad business.. I was so pissed off. I put the items back that we were goin to purchase and walked out of the store ..I could understand if the boys where making a mess of the store or just being bad disrespectful brats but they weren't at all .. she didnt give them time to even not listen.. so the 100 or so we would have spent at ur store is ur lost and someone else gain..they should probably hire someone else...

This store is such an asset to the community! I drive up from Shavertown when I see (via Facebook) that they're having a sale. I always find at least $60 worth of clothing & toys, even at sale prices! The proprietors are so kind. Today, our son was screaming at checkout (I am so sorry!), and the gentleman there did some amazing character voices to calm our little guy. They are unfailingly kind, and their clothes are never sticky/dirty/"thrift store scented" (you know the smell I mean!). The toys are impeccably clean, and always in like-new, working condition. It's so organized, and not at all like the other used kids' clothing stores I've visited (with sticky kids, pieces of toys, & articles of clothing strewn around). I'm so thankful they're a short drive away. Keep up...

Lady was very rude to me when i dropped off about 7 to 8 bags of clothing to her all newer hardly worn maybe a few things with stains and wear and tear i asked her to go through and price out what she would actually take about 2 or 3 hours later she proceded to call me and tell me that the clothing was dirty and nasty and if it were her she would throw it all away that i waisted her time and patience i told her i will come get them and she just lost a valuable customer (all the clothes were washed and sorted before being...
