Went there a few weeks ago to buy a pair of shoes. Had been spending $40 at Wal-Mart for years, someone talked me into better quality shoes.
$160 later I had my pair of steel toe shoes for work. (same type/style, different manufacturer, I was buying at WM)
Wore them for 3 days. Beginning of the 3rd day, the cushion insert started to degrade and separate. At the end of the 3rd day, the right shoe was unwearable and the left had started the same problem.
Went back a few days later to address the issue.
Store has a no refund policy. (It does say this on the counter and the back of your receipt, I did not see this at first or I would never have done business with them.)
No other shoes in the store suited my needs. I was not going to buy that same pair again for obvious reasons.
They will offer credit or exchange but not your money back. So, after arguing for 15 minutes with them, asking what exactly I was going to spend $160 on in their store in the future, a manager agreed to refund my money to my card.
9 days later, I am still waiting on that money to go back on my card. Now I understand it may take some time to process, my point is to advise you of this entire scenario. (the No Refund policy is clearly posted at the counter and the back of your receipt)
Hours: 5 stars Prices: 3 stars Customer Service: 1 star Selection: 3 stars Location: 5 stars Sales tactics/pressure to buy: 3 stars
In conclusion, I will stay with my $40 shoes at Wal-Mart.
Update: Clarified a bit of text, also a few typo's fixed.
Also, I did get my full refund back on my card, as stated earlier, I was at day 9 and no refund, in fact it took 14 days to show up. ...
Read moreHad a good experience. Problem I have and why I gave them three stars is this: the shelves were barely full and they didn't have a common size. I had to wait a week to get my boots. If I wasn't set on the boot I wanted, they would have lost the sale. Another thing... They need more sales people when they are running a popular sale! Had to wait a better part of 15 minutes to give them my money. Again, I was set on getting this particular boot. If I wasn't, they would have lost the sale.
Long story short, don't shop there unless you have a lot of time on your hands to waste waiting.
I'll go back because they are one of the only stores in town that carry the boots I like. Just glad I'm not a...
Read moreVery poor service. I came in ready to buy new running shoes, but wasn't completely sure what I needed. A frowning employee asked me if I needed help, and her demeanor made me uncomfortable asking for more than the location of the running shoes. As I tried to browse for shoes, another customer plopped down in the middle of the narrow aisle and began trying on numerous pairs of shoes. Perhaps one of the three employees who were standing at the front chatting with each other could have politely directed her to one of the benches so she wasn't blocking the aisle. I'm definitely going to get my shoes from a place where they act like they actually...
