I am extremely dissatisfied with Aguilar’s and no longer have any trust in this business. I ordered menudo for about 95 people for and event I was hosting only to find out it was all spoiled! I picked up the menudo around 3:30pm and left it heating up in a roaster to be served around midnight. When I unwrapped the foil from the menudo I noticed the top was covered in foam. It also did have a nasty/funny smell to it when I was serving it but I didn’t think much of it. I started realizing something was wrong when people were leaving their bowls full and saying it tasted sour. What’s worse is that some of my family members were sick with diarrhea and vomiting at night. I’m not sure exactly how many people got sick but this was such a disappointment and embarrassment! How could menudo spoil so quickly if I had it heating up in a roaster the whole time? I honestly believe Aguilar’s gave me leftover batches from another time or their meat was rotten to begin with. Save yourself money and embarrassment by taking your...
Read moreConcerning the Deer Processing service yesterday around 7:30 pm i contacted Aguilar’s meat market to inquire about their hrs for the Deer processing as per manager they would be opened until 10 pm yesterday, he assured us that someone would be there (we were coming from Rio Grande). We arrived at approx 8:30pm. Once we got there door was locked. We got off and rang the door bell and called the after hrs number multiple times/text. We checked both front and back doors to make sure someone was there .We are extremely dissatisfied with their service due to the inconvenience of calling before hand and them guaranteeing it would in fact be open. This is not the first issue we have with them, they have messed up with multiple of my orders. I would suggest you check your order prior to leaving to assure you get what you paid for. I DO NOT recommend the deer processing establishment. Very...
Read moreThis is and was my to go spot for quality meat, it never disappointed. My grandfather knew Irineo Sr personally. He lived off E. Samano St and 22nd next to the holy family church. So whenever my grandpa was cooking out for my parents arriving from working out of state or grandma cooking carne guisada their go to was always Aguilars Meat Market. Looking back it’s very familiar very nostalgic looking back and remembering when it was white small concrete building with a swinging screen front door, meat being wrapped up in white butcher paper and hand written description or price of meat. Weekend mornings for Barbacoa or brisket in the afternoon. Man those were the days!!! I have moved to Florida and miss the valley so much. Especially those small trips with my grandparents to Aguilars...
