Starlite Burger — Restaurant in Edinburg

Been hitting up Star-lite in Edinburg off 107. I've tried their regular burger, steak burger, onion rings, and burritos... service never fails to be quick, efficient, and the food is deceivingly simple looking but packed full of flavor.

This is the fish sandwich from today...looks fairly innocent until you take the first bite. Check the ratio of fish to bread...and it had 2 filets on there as well. I love tartar, here they go with mayo, which also pairs well with the fish burger. Nicely cooked...the right amount of crisp on it, and very fairly priced. Where else do you find a fish burger for about $6? The answer...no where else.

And there was some talk on here about burritos...well I've been digging these burritos since my childhood, over 30 years ago. I remember my parents taking me to eat burritos here as a child, well there's a reason why this location has lasted this long to where I can now take my own kids for a burrito. They are nicely fried, have plenty of filling, and are not dried out. Take notes Stripes...this is how burritos are done.

After today's visit I will no longer be visiting any location nor recommend it as I was in shock with today's visit. I checked my order at the window to see that it was wrong and I let the female know. She said she took my order and that I didn't say that order when I placed it. She then took my burgers back and a female with a maroon shirt comes to tell me that I ordered wrong and was mean. I was letting her know what order I placed and she shut the window. This is ridiculous! The first female then apologized for the miscommunication as I try to pay for the bacon and jalapeno and she let me know not to worry about it. I try to spend my money on family owned businesses, but when people have no manners and are completely rude I'd rather spend my money elsewhere. Goodbye starlight burger you will be missed, once you change your employees please post a sign or put it on social media maybe then I'll stop by and continue to bring my family from out of town for the best chicken and...

Went through the drive thru and I verified my order twice as did the lady taking my order! Get to the window and immediately hands me the incorrect drink size to which I say it’s not the correct size. She replied with “you didn’t ask for the jumbo size” after I made sure and said it twice and she also repeated the order back to me. Get our food and go home. We ordered footlong with jalapeños jumbo order, cheeseburger with jalapeños and 2 burritos. We get home and half the order is missing. No burritos, no jalapenos on anything and incorrect size of fries. I called and was accused of not ordering right and was told “we put jalapenos, what else is supposedly wrong with your order” she then follows up with “well just bring the burger back so we can fix it” Not addressing the entire order that was wrong and incorrect to begin with. Got fed up with her attitude and just told her to get it right the first time and hung up. Seriously won’t be going back anymore after...
