Mishelle Handy Cakes — Local services in Edmond

This review is about cookies and not a custom cake. I walked into Michelle Handy Cakes to inquire about cookies for my daughter’s birthday. After discussing a few options with the worker, I decided to get soccer balls on half of the cookies and another design on the other half. I pre-paid for my order and agreed upon a time to pick them up. A day and a half later, I received a message from the bakery saying there was an “issue” with my order. I call back the same day but no one answers so I leave a message. I received a call back the NEXT day (the day of my daughter’s birthday). I was told that they can’t do soccer balls designs. Then asked what design I would want instead. What!? It’s the day of my daughter’s birthday, I’ve already planned around the soccer theme. So I felt forced to choose something else so I wouldn’t be stuck without any cookies! When I went to pick them up, there was another woman there (I assume the owner). She said “oh we stopped doing soccer ball designs on cookies over a year ago”. What?! Why didn’t your staff know this. Nothing was offered for my inconvenience (no discount, nothing). Just an overall terrible experience with this business. Not to mention the cookies...

Thank you so much for baking and decorating our cake for our 50th Anniversary celebration! It was perfect! I I’ll try & post a photo. But, I am not very good at that! It was very unique. It had acrylic layers between the cake layers with pastel flowers and fairy lights. The cake layers had a simple metallic gold ribbon tied in a bow. It had a gold metallic cake topper that said “We Stilll Do Since 1975. Each layer was a different flavor and fillings. Our 75 guests said it was the very best they had ever eaten, it was SO moist!! We didn’t have much left but we took some to the Aloft where we were staying & handed out cake at the bar! Of course I snuck a piece totaled home of the Italian Crème with raspberry filling! Absolutely incredible customer service and quality products!! I had some cupcakes for my significant other in advance from another place, the dog literally ate all of them and I called up here, let them know what I needed and they had it ready literally in minutes! I had everything set up, the dogs got the door open and I called up here, basically frantic, lol, and they did a wonderful job, flavors are incredible designs are incredible!
