2nd update Eid day : wow never going back to this place again! This is the second time these guys don’t want to update their timings on their website or in google and when we got there they guy says the kitchen is closed. Just checked and they changed their timings very conveniently just so they don’t have to accept that they had outdated timings. I checked on Friday and it said 10 pm. We also called before and the lady says they close at 10 so we get there around 8:45/50. The guy there says the kitchen is closed and when I told him it says on the website it says 11 and google says 10, he says the “website is old”. As a Muslim I want to support other Muslim businesses but if y’all going to act like this then no way. We got there and we thought he would atleast tell us that since we are already there he will serve us but no! We had to leave there hungry and all dressed up and go to Edmond paradise who had the humanity to keep their kitchen that was closing in 10 minutes to serve us fresh food. It was our special day to celebrate and mirchi joint put a damper on the mood. They said it had a new management but seems they need some business management classes to learn how to keep a restaurant running. On Eid day restaurants in texas are serving till late. All I’m saying is to keep serving if the restaurant is open. Why keep it open if you’re not going to take orders???
1st UPDATE: so a visit to this restaurant yesterday being a saturday was very disappointing considering it was a weekend night. I really hope the owners can take this as feedback and improve. First off the timing for Saturday is 10 pm closing however the restaurant was about to close when we got there at 8:40 pm. Due to that, there were almost no items to choose from. The chai, grill items and pulao which should’ve been a weekend special item all were not available. As long as a restaurant is open all items should be available otherwise why keep the place open for business?? I didn’t know if the owner was there back in the kitchen but this was very upsetting. Also it’s The Weekend following Eid but there was almost no crowd nor many items to choose from.
Past review: So for me the food being good is as important as the customer service and the service part is where Pakistani restaurants suffer. We ordered the nihari, chapli, and dum keema all were great but first off The chapli was not chapta which means that its not even a chapli kabab; a chapli kabab is suppose to be thin not a big fat cheese burger patty
The portions were great considering its a okc restaurant and okc desi restaurants are not generous in their portions so this was a plus.
The keema could’ve been less spicy. The chai was cold. The naan was dry and hard.
Now the worst part was the server , don’t know his name but he was stout in size and didn’t greet us or ask us if we were enjoying the food. He just threw plates as if he was doing a favor giving us food. No response when we even thanked him. The other girl waitress was nice tho. The restaurant was also crazy loud but that’s normal, Pakistanis are like that to be honest and there was this kid who kept pushing the seat and I was at the seat behind so...
Read moreWe had the pleasure of dining at Mirchi Joint, a Pakistani restaurant in Oklahoma, and it was an extraordinary culinary experience that I'll cherish forever. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy ambiance that transported me to the heart of Pakistan.
The menu at Mirchi Joint is a delightful journey through the rich and diverse flavors of Pakistani cuisine. I started with their mouthwatering samosas, perfectly crisp on the outside and bursting with flavorful filling on the inside. The mixed grill platter was a carnivore's dream come true, with succulent tandoori chicken, tender seekh kebabs, and flavorful lamb chops.
But what truly sets Mirchi Joint apart is their commitment to authenticity. The biryani, a true test of any Pakistani restaurant, was a fragrant masterpiece with perfectly cooked rice and tender pieces of meat. Each bite was a harmonious blend of spices that left me craving for more.
And let's not forget about the naan - freshly baked and served piping hot. The garlic naan was a personal favorite, adding a delightful twist to the traditional bread.
The desserts at Mirchi Joint were the perfect finale to this culinary adventure. The rich gajar ka halwa transported me to the streets of Lahore.
The service was impeccable, with the staff going above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience. They were knowledgeable about the menu and offered excellent recommendations.
