The individual booths are amazing, LOTS OF GREAT STUFF! This review is intended for people that are looking to set up a booth as a vendor. Her both rental and fees are atrocious at best. We had custom lasered items and freeze dried candy, both low over head / high return items in the low price point realm of $10 to $50. We were forced into a 6 moth contract locking in her $240 a month rent and then they take 7% of each sale (.70 cents on every 10 dollars). The CC fees are passed onto the buyer, so it's just pure profit at that point. I know the way our stuff sells from craft and gun shows, the problem here is lack of customers. I set up a camera, there were two where not a single customer walked by, many many more where it's just one or two in the morning and one or two in the afternoon. I'm sure there are lots of customers that come in for a particular vendor, but they walk straight to that vendor. 5 Tables at ANY craft show is usually around what she charges for a small & a tiny spot (One 8' wide and the other 4' wide). An average 2 day craft show after tables, fuel, time and food we eat. We usually can NET right around $1200 to $1500 in profit, and we sell something to 1 out of 10 people. When I asked her how many customers she had in a normal month she didn't know or didn't want to tell me (Should have been my first clue to run away) Any promoter should be able to tell you traffic volume if leasing booth space. We lost about 2 shows worth of inventory being consumed by fees, space rent and actual product overhead and at the end of 6 months we lost about $500 with set up cost (the spaces are empty, no shelves) receiving only a check after the Christmas for $8 (After fees and rent) and the last month, which is paid for up front, we got $9 bucks. In Nov 24 She made $425, Dec 24 $650 Jan 25 $240 and over that same time I made $17 while supplying all the product sold. This place, and the places like it (Painted Tree) are making a fortune of small sellers while giving them the shaft. If you walk this place and do the average in booth rentals it's right at $36,000 a month in booth rent before the 7% fee. The only advertising is a FB page that is updated once a month with a couple pictures while she hounds you to sell your products for 25% to 50% off, but doesn't even offer breaks on fees during that time. We went here trying to get away from Etsy and eBay fees, but she is no better, honestly worse because there are no customers. My gut told me not to do this, I should...
Read moreVisited on recommendation from friend & did not disappoint! What a unique, nice, clean, varied booth style shop. So much too look at, plenty of room to explore & no junk here! Left with devine smelling candles & cute homemade potatoe microwaving bag (instructions included). Clerk was so nice & not pushy. Can't wait for a return visit, especially when more...
Read moreI come in there with my mom a lot, and Serendipity is a darling place; it is clean and there are lots of different booths to look at. However, the cashiers never honor vendor discounts. The cashiers also are never overly friendly. Buyer beware about...
