Edit: Ive been waiting for this response since you threatened me with it as I walked out the door. 😂😂😂You did not care about my son’s safety. You asked “can you get control of him?” Because he was “disrupting alterations for other guests”….we were the guests. It was 5pm and I saw no one in the store when you insulted my child and my parenting. No, sorry, my 3 yr old with autism can’t understand. But when I got firm with him after you were rude he sat in a chair uncomfortable and quiet. Children with autism stem. (Look up what stemming is) I came as a guest but I will never come again as a customer. And will be letting everyone who loves my child know of this. Kim, you were the only person who had an issue with my child. He did on the floor for all of 5 seconds because that is one of his gestalts. (Look up what a gestalt is) My son has autism and he falls and says “are you ok?” You don’t understand. And it was very obvious that I was trying my best. No one said anything about an age limit when we arrived. Until my child started showing that he had special needs no one had an issue with him or had anything to say.

Kim, it’s very obvious you saw a single mother with a biracial child and you chose to target rather than support. I would expect more out of a place that hosts women. Do you know before women get married a lot of times they are single mothers? Do you know no one has an idea when they are pregnant if their child will have special needs? Did you know Kim, that if single women with children who have special needs don’t have family support that they have to go in public with their children? We still live. My child still has a life. And the bride encouraged me to bring him. I actually knew that I would run into someone like you before I ever came but I had the COURAGE to come anyway. People like you are the issue for people like me and my child.

Great job at your attempt at a PR response but you were rude and nasty in person. You’re intolerant to people who are not like you. My best friends family lives out of town and she had no one but me to come to her fitting. Please next time, find a better way to approach someone. You never know what they are...

I had such a great experience here! I went in last Saturday with my mom, future MIL, and two sisters. The lady that helped us, Dawnelle, was amazing. She listened to exactly what I wanted and showed me only the dresses that fit my guidelines. She was very attentive and fun to work with. When I finally found "the gown"--I had a hard time saying yes....It's such a big decision!...She understood my concerns and said to go home and think about it and she'd put the dress in the back for me until the following day...Most places will not let you "reserve" a dress like this so I was highly impressed with that. She knew I was uncomfortable with the price of the dress and gave us a great deal on it. The next day I came back in with my mom and dad to try it on again before making a decision. As soon as I walked in the door (and even though she was busy with other customers) she immediately greeted me by name. I tried the dress on one last time and knew it was the one. I would definitely recommend going to Elegant Brides and will be returning in the future to look for bridesmaid dresses. The place is clean, well stocked full of amazing dresses, and just an all around fun atmosphere to be in. I never felt rushed and she even encouraged me to walk around in the dress, to sit, dance, etc...Other places I've been to want you in and out of a dress...Definitely not the case here. 06/15/18 Owner was aware that the dress did not fit when it was tried on the day before the wedding. It took them 3 people and ended up replacing a hook as a result. She did not offer to take out the added cup or take out the stitches when it was made smaller. The dress was so tight that there was an overlap in the back of the dress. The dress could not be worn all night because it was digging into the skin and she could not breathe. When the owner was approached on 6-18-18 she said the dress fit just fine and tried to blame it on the humidity or water weight that happened within 24 hours. That there was no overhang in the back and denied it took 3 staff members to get her in the dress. That the bride did not complain that it was too tight. And if it was too tight that she is a seamstress and she would of fixed the dress. The owner said she signed for the dress so it must have been ok, in reality not knowing that something could have been done. In which she thought it is the day before the wedding so it was too late to fix the dress. The owner would make comments that as a mother I would never let her leave if the dress did not fit that I would have fixed it. Over all the owner lied about it all and did not take the time to fix...
