I went to eat lunch there today Wednesday May 25th 2018 I ordered the spaghetti with meat sauce and ordered two extra meatballs which cost $2.50 extra no problem because it was worth it the meatballs were very delicious the garlic bread was very delicious even though the the waitress did not offer cheese on my garlic bread it still was good the pasta was cooked to perfection however the salad that came with it was lacking many ingredients in it only had two green olives two black olives and two very small cherry tomatoes and the rest was just lettuce I had to ask for some cheese and on top of that she told me it would be at a little extra cost okay I don't mind paying a little extra cost as long as you have a large variety but they did not they only have mozzarella which the waitress did not even charge me I don't know if she forgot or what I did not notice this until after I left and seen on my receipt and then when it came to the sauce it was very very sweet if someone with diabetes wanted to have a cheat day to go have a nice bowl of pasta with marinara sauce I do not suggest going there the sauce is too sweet when I ask to speak to a manager or the owner the waitress proceeded to tell me they are not available at this time they were not there but there was another lady there that never claimed she was a supervisor or assistant manager or anything of the management team. Introduce myself and proceeded to tell her how delicious the meatballs were and the garlic bread she then told me I should have added cheese to it I said I would have had if it had been suggested to me but it was not suggested to me by nobody in the establishment and she just kind of laughed it off when I proceeded to tell her about how sweet the sauce was she said very snyde really well that's the family recipe. I asked well what happens if a person with diabetes comes in and and eats that and goes into a diabetic shock she said well that's the family recipe and that's all she could say when I told her about the salad lacking other vegetables all she could say is ours is so great we even have the people that work at Imo's come down to our place which Imo's is another pizza place because our salad is cut fresh daily and there's is bagged lettuce I said ok but your salad is lacking vegetables she says it's our salad and it's good this I did not appreciate and last but not least I went to go Shake salt out of salt pepper shaker it was nothing would come out so I proceeded to take the lid off and it was nothing but ugly gross rock salt caked on to the back inside of the lid with green discoloration and yellow discoloration not sure what that's about but I do know that's very unsanitary when I brought that to her attention all she could say that's because the salt shakers are inside and they go outside sometimes so they must get some humidity added to the the lids I said okay I understand that but they should be checked and cleaned daily this has looked like its not been clean for at least a month and all she could do is repeat herself about how they are in and out of the elements if you want a good sandwich I don't know if they have good sandwiches if they're pizza sauce taste anything like their pasta sauce I suggest not eat there unless you like sugar more sugar than tomato in your marinara sauce or pizza sauce I was going to go and give this place a 4-star but when I seen what was on the back of that salt shaker that did it for me. I try not to knock any kind of restaurants because it is hard enough to run a restaurant and stays business world but this one needs some immediate work and I hope my words get the attention of the owner and is more than welcome to contact me on Facebook under Mathew littlefeather Hammontree thank you and...
Read moreI feel Joe's use to be good. The past few times I've been here the food hasn't been so good. Then the service has really went down hill. I walked in here with my 3 kids about a week ago and was told to sit where I liked. We sat down and after about 10 minutes another couple came and sat in the both behind ours. And as soon as they sat down a waitress came straight over to them and started greeting them and taking their order. Super weird since I've been sitting here a little over 10 minutes and no one has came and seen my table yet. So I figure she's going to come to us next and wait till she gets them taken care of but nope. As soon as she's done with them she takes off and vanishes. About another 5 or 6 minutes goes by and finally another server comes over and says (hey ,I've been in the back.what can I get ya?) Like , really. No apology for the wait and someone else being served before us after already being here 10 minutes before them?. No hi!? No introduction or anyrhing. Just what can I get ya. Ok,whatever. Order our food. I get some Italian beef roll. It comes and it's dry as h#!!. Barely any beef. 85 percent bread. No pepperoncinis. And the bottom is rock hard. What happened to quality food with quality service. What happened to taking care of your customers. What happened to friendliness. It feels like you're a number and just pushing people through. Especially since there was only 3 tables in the whole place including mine. I doubt I'll be back...
Read moreSo I have had Joe's 3 times now. The first time was pretty bad. It was right after they had moved to the new location a few doors down. We ordered a Chicago style something or other. It was watery, not very warm, and very bland. The second time we had a pretty good experience. We ordered a small pizza, pasta, and an Italian beef. The place wasn't crowded or very busy so I imagine that helped with the service and food. Our server was fantastic and made up for the any short comings the food may have had. Now tonight was just like the first. It only took about 3 mins to get our drinks and appetizer order. Which was pretty cool. The drinks came out right away. Now the apps took...oh...about 40 mins to come out. Which is surprising when you order cheese fries (plain fries with canned cheese sauce on it) and toasted ravioli (which probably came out of a bag) I'm thinking great I finally get to eat. But wait now I'm dying of thirst..but hey who am I to complain no refills in over an hour must be an industry standard. I would of said something but I saw our server maybe 3 times. The our food came out a few minutes later. If you like barely warm Italian beef (dry at that), carbonara that looked like it was ran through a dehydrator before serving, and a pizza that was dang near raw in the middle then I would try this place. For $50 bucks there are plenty of other places to...
