A far cry from helpful. Quite embarrassing actually. Long story short through a recent turn of events I have been living in my vehicle while waiting to be accepted into my new living situation. And I was given a pamphlet from dhs that clearly states "homeless service resource guide" where it states Glen ED pantry as a service. I came here seeking a small food box to get me through the few days I have left here in Edwardsville, as a homeless individual. As I tell the woman in the office about by situation she was quick to talk over me and tell me repeatedly that I needed to have proof of residence here in Edwardsville or they couldn't help me. After finally getting out that I only needed a day or two's worth of supplies she adamantly told me that this was a one time thing, and that I needed to "get a job, and a house" then reluctantly went to tell the older men in the pantry to make a box.
