Penn Station East Coast Subs — Restaurant in Edwardsville

12/27/17 We arrived at 9:29 pm Excited about having a quick family meal.. FYI. they don't close until 10pm and we could see the 2 employees disappointed gestures and body language from the parking spot we were in as we got out the car. Before we entered I said to my wife let's just get it to go so they won't have to clean up behind us. After placing our order we had to watch the cook throw a tantrum as he went to the back saying, "I guess we are not leaving on time" as he hit the wall with his left hand in the door way to the kitchen area. At this point We are obviously in-convincing them by spending $51 Dollars worth of food for our family of small Hungary kids just getting out of Gymnastics practice. As we were getting our food 3 more different customers came in and the male employee throws his hands and says, "great I want to get out of here too.. 9:49😧 I work fast food while in college so I get it..But the place was immaculately clean so how much damage can a few customers do in the last 30mins of the shift. We come to this place 1 maybe 2 times a week but we ate our meals in the car 🚗 then drove 1hr home 🏡. Maybe we need to find another penn station on the way because this one clearly doesn't want you to coming in 30 mins...

Come to penn station quite a bit…. Today was not a good experience. I’m not sure if the girl who waited on me was new or what.

Ordered a (Turkey Bacon Ranch). Asked for No ranch & to make it “East Coast Style”. Asked if it could be toasted. She wouldn’t do that since TBR is listed as a cold sub.. I get it… so I asked for a Dagwood. Essentially the same order previously (Turkey & Bacon east coast style) I pay, get my receipt. There is no “add bacon” I bring this to her attention and even was willing to pay extra for bacon to be added. She says “she forgot to ring that up when I ordered and that she will add it.” I apologized for making my order initially complicated… Mind you in the meantime she says nothing to the other woman making my sandwich. Sandwich finally comes, I see her putting everything on except there’s no bacon. I bring this to her attention AGAIN and get a mumbled response.

Whatever…at this point her mind is made up and I am clearly not getting the bacon that I asked for 3 separate times…

Last but not least, she couldn’t wrap my sandwich properly. Used several pieces of tape and threw it into the bag.

Side Note: It was just myself and one other customer in there…. I don’t know how this became...
