Buyers beware! Long story short and hopefully this warns at least one consumer to go elsewhere. I ordered a dining table, a bed frame, and entire bedroom set from Household. The bedroom set had lamp lights with touch buttons on the bedroom frame. The touch feature had four different settings but from the initial set up Household couldn’t get it to work. They blamed static because of my carpet. Their remedy was to have me go exchange for another bed-set. I went and did this. They wanted to charge me more. I declined because they said exchange. After wasting my time further and they agreed to exchange as they originally suggested. They completed the exchange and during the delivery their installers damaged the wall in my stairway and my select number bed. I thought the installers were from household directly and knew the furniture. I asked them if I could move the bed prior to them doing it. They declined and said they could do it. The installer moved the mattress without disconnecting the air hose and pulled out the male to connector that isn’t suppose to come out. Come to find out they hire third party installers. Who denied causing the damages. So household decided they couldn’t do anything because their installer denied doing it and called essentially saying I lied and did the damage when putting the bed back. I don’t know the repair cost yet, as I still have to price it out. These fixes are probably inexpensive but the customer service is completely zero at this place. I’m still in search for furniture and would recommend searching other stores. I don’t trust this place and they’ve lost any future purchases from me. They hide in five star reviews they make customers do while they swap your card and watch over your shoulder. Awkward. Go elsewhere.
Edit for your response as it’s untrue. The outlet was not the issue as you’re claiming. The outlet functions fine and I even had a surge protector. It was your product. And your company DID cause the damage to the air mattress. Your movers moved the mattress pulling the male to male connector out by pushing the mattress up and not disconnecting the clip first. I declined anyone from this company coming back to my property as I didn’t want further damages. Terrible customer service and a cover up response. Hopefully buyers find somewhere else trustworthy. We opted for the extended warranty due to the high cost of the furniture, but it has become evident that this was a waste of money. The paint on the pieces has consistently chipped, and despite multiple pick-ups for repairs, the furniture has returned in a sticky state. During conversations with Terry, we were advised to use coasters and placemats; however, after following those recommendations, the coasters adhered to the surface and removed the paint when lifted. We were then told we were “wiping too hard,” which seems unrealistic given the circumstances.
After filing claims for the same issue several times, we were informed that the warranty had expired and no further assistance would be provided. This has been incredibly frustrating, as we only sought a resolution for the quality issues we encountered over and over. Additionally, Elizabeth suggested contacting Ashley’s Furniture, even though she stated they probably won’t help (then why suggest it)
The service we have received has been unsatisfactory, and it feels as though we have been given the runaround without any genuine attempt to address our concerns. Household Furniture has such a huge selection of styles and colors that it took me at least 2 hours of trying them out and then going back again to narrow my selection down to the top 3. Our salesman Zeus was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, patient while I was walking around testing them all. Zeus was very friendly and described all the different options; including color selection, fabric, prices and features that they offer. He gave information on the sales promotion that they were offering (yellow tag). I told him that I would return over the weekend with my husband and he gave me his business card and his number. I told my husband and we returned that afternoon to make our purchase. Household Furniture is huge, lots of selection and reasonably priced. You definitely could spend a few hours there because of how much inventory they have in stock. Zeus offered great customer service and I would highly recommend Household Furniture.
