I have been eating at Crave for over a decade and have never had a bad experience. But we just ate at the Resler location and I am sad to say the experience was one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. I do not typically write reviews but after this meal I felt compelled to and in looking at past reviews this does not seem to be an isolated experience.
We arrived and it took 15 minutes for someone to even greet us and bring waters. We then put in an order and waited. Our table was by the kitchen so we could see the orders as they came out. Our server would go to the window periodically, look at the plates sitting there ready to be delivered to tables, but then walk away leaving the food to sit out and get cold for extended periods of time.
It had been almost an hour and I’d seen our orders sitting there ready to be delivered for at least 20 minutes. I asked a server if they were ours and he then picked them up and brought them over. Every dish was cold, hard, and tasteless. I orders the ancient grain bowl and it was inedible. It had been sitting out for at least 45 minutes clearly forgotten about because they had to look for it when they brought everything else out. The only thing in the bowl was old and wilted spinach, and a dob of avocado- a dish that did not even resemble the description on the menu. The pancakes for the table were freezing cold, stale and inedible. The cheese on one of the breakfast orders was condensed together and hard because it was melted and then subsequently sat out waiting to be delivered for almost half an hour.
The whole experience was frustrating not only because of the horrible food but primarily due to the service. The staff repeatedly went up to the kitchen window, looked at the plates, then walked away and ignored the food only to return 30 minutes later to deliver those same now cold and stale dishes to the tables. Watching the servers in this restaurant felt like we were part of a hidden camera TV show. It was infuriating and many other customers were also expressing the same concerns.
As someone who worked for years as a server in a busy restaurant, I have a lot of patience and understanding for how difficult this job can be. But what we experienced at the Resler Crave was so far beyond that and based on other reviews it seems like this is a problem others have experienced and that management refuses to address. I will never be returning to eat here or at any other...
Read moreLove Crave but this location is always lacking. The food was delicious as usual but the service always falls short. My husband and I sat at the bar and Ain took care of us. First off we ordered mimosas and she fills the glass 3/4 of the way with oj and 1/4 with champagne. The other servers including the manager does it the opposite way (the right way). The way Ain makes them we're basically drinking a whole glass of oj which isn't the point. When the manager made our drinks we commented on how we'll just order from him because Ain makes them the opposite ratios and he just chuckled but didn't take into consideration the inconsistencies we brought up. Secondly, when we did order our second round from Ain she went and grabbed two fresh glasses and set them on the bar, she then went to grab my husband's empty glass and slowly washed it. By that time I finished my glass and she walked over took my empty glass then went back to wash that also. Once she shook those off a bit and left them to dry she made us our drinks in the two clean ones that she placed on the bar first. That was the strangest thing to us. Lastly, I asked her for a box and the check and she walks around and does a bunch of other things first, which is fine she has things to do. She finally brings me the box but no check. We sat there for a while before I was able to ask for the check again. She walks to the computer and opens another table and just stares at it and looks around then closes that table and walks away and grabs plates and silverware for the couple next to us, that just ordered their food. Then she walks back to the computer and prints our check. Printing a check and dropping it off right behind you doesn't take that long. She seems nice enough but she is just so inefficient. The whole thing wasn't even upsetting it was just...
Read moreMy first visit to this location on Mother's Day. Not horrifying enough to get a 1 star but not memorable for a 3 star either. We arrived close to 930 am, was decent not packed considering it was mom's day. Most wore masks but then my husband noticed no one in kitchen wearing masks (see photo) not cool. We were served our beverages in a timely manner. My coffee cream came with specs my husband kindly ask if it was supposed to come with particles 😉, server reply oh that coffee grounds, he literally spilled out that one and in same cup poured new creamer, really dude? Anyways 2 of our utincil sets had dirty crusty food on them and coffee cup and a plate was also dirty (noticed this common theme in other reviews). Food took FOREVER to arrive mine you they weren't extremely busy; at list 45 min to get food (another common theme). Food was not great, ordered whole hog scramble it was drenched in oil and tasted only like grease. My kid and I had pancakes, hers served in a bowl and mine in a puny plate (see photo) ridiculous 😆 and were tasteless and doughy dense, the honey butter really gross. Chilaquiles my hubs ordered were about the most tasty of the dishes I'll give them that. My kids sausage side burt, and tasted charred as well as my hubs hashbrowns (we didn't bother to eat either or) which aligned with the fire in kitchen smell and flames we saw from where were seated. The open kitchen is horribly placed for sever traffic and I dont find it pleasing to see the chaos of the kitchen staff and trash can and unorganized plating station. Did I mention NONE of the kitchen staff has masks? Restaurant ambience was nice, small. Will I be back?? Maybe just maybe next mothers day. Would...
