This is certainly not the same Pieology I’ve visited in the past. Who manages this place? Omg! When we went up to order at the counter, the girl had a face like she hated to be there. No hello, no smile, no greeting, nothing! Our pizzas were just ok. They were soggy and my husband asked to have his cooked a little longer because it was very doughy, looked and tasted undercooked. The other girl (not the one who took our order) took it back and cooked it longer for him and it was better but still a bit soggy. The salad we ordered was decent but I don’t recommended the raspberry dressing. It was bitter. The lemonade and the cookie were tasty. As for the dining area, it was a mess! There wasn’t anyone there when we arrived and we had first selection where to sit but had a hard time picking a table to eat at because the table was either dirty or had unstable footing and would wobble. The floors were filthy and the trash bin was overflowing. Also, the women’s bathroom was a nightmare. One stall had an out of order sign on it and the other stall’s toilet looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a long while! I couldn’t wait to go at home so I had to hover over the toilet so I didn’t have to sit or touch the seat. Thankfully there was toilet paper and soap to wash my hands but there were no paper towels. And the women’s main bathroom door did not shut on its own because the hinges were broken. It would just stay wide open if you didn’t shut it yourself. While we were there, we noticed there were plenty of times that there weren’t any customers, which would have given one of the three girls working there a chance to go clean up the tables, floors, garbage bin, and bathroom. What a shame that this Pieology has gone downhill. I doubt we will come back. We did not complain to any of the staff while we were there because we are certain nothing would have been done or we just would have gotten attitude in return. Read moreThis experience was terrible. It was on Friday, November 1st at 8:30 PM and it all started when I walked in and the place smelled similar to cow manure... I was a bit revolted but still open-minded. Maybe the service wouldn't be too bad! As I approached the oil, cheese, and sauce section, I noticed how there was a huge pile of mozarella cheese at the bottom of the olive oil, and then, on top of that, the employee was complaining about his job and so distracted that he grabbed a handful of mozarella (without my saying so) and was about to put it in my pizza. I had to raise my voice a bit to stop him and ask him for the daiya cheese instead. And then, on top of this, as I was asking for some veggies on my pizza, the employee in the meat section found a mushroom in the container with the italian sausage, and he FLUNG it into the mushroom receptacle. I visibly cringed when this happened. I am very big on cross-contamination, and I believe it shouldn't be happening, especially in a "vegan-friendly" restaurant.
Furthermore, the entire line of cooks who prepared the pizza kept joking around and not paying attention to their customers. They were more interested in joking about how they couldn't understand the customers demands and how they are bad at their jobs. The cook in charge of adding the sauce, oil and cheese was absolutely uninterested in doing his job properly and everyone was extremely sloppy. I hope the respective managers take a look at the people who worked during this shift and take responsibility/action
Very unsatisfied. The one on Mesa by Coronado is MUCH better...
Read moreI LOVE pizza and HATE to review a pizza place with just one star but today was the last straw! The pizza is typically good if it's not burnt. The service on the other hand needs MAJOR work. Today I placed an online order at 1:51pm and didn't get my two pizzas until 2:56 pm! I showed up to pick up my order and it was nowhere to be found even though they claim that they made them. I asked for a refund but they said a manager would have to call me back in order to get one. I decided to wait for fresh pizzas instead since they said the wait would be about 5 mins, which of course is an unreasonable wait because they take at least 10 mins to prep and cook but ok. I waited over 30 mins to finally get my pizzas even though the place wasn't busy.
This isn't the first time I show up to pick up an online order and it isn't ready. A few months ago I placed an order for 6 pizzas, when I get there they only had 2 ready. I asked for a refund since it was dinner time and our family was pretty hungry at that point. They asked if I wanted to keep/purchase the 2 they had ready. I declined because 2 pizzas was not enough to feed 6 people and I wasn't going for appetizers. That day a manager was on site and after a short wait I was refunded back to my card.
I tried to give them a second chance today because like I said I really love pizza. But today was the last time I go to that location. They take the convenience of online ordering and turn it into a...
