This review is specifically for the bakery department visit day on Sunday, August 1 at around 1145AM. Wanted to provide a review of my experience this morning. I ordered 2 smash cakes Elsa (with Frozen & Super Mario characters) and i picked it up this morning. The super mario was ok, even though it was a bit lopsided, it was acceptable. The Elsa one is totally lopsided, in which I brought it to the employee's attention. Her and another employee's responses were quite condescending, which were bothersome, they insisted the cake looked ok eventhough in comparison with the supermario, you can totally see the big difference! Then they both proceeded to insist that i should've been charged extra $10 because they used the character pic and the side strip. I guess the employees think because i was undercharged, i should take the smashcake ASIS? I've never had any issues with your bakery prior to this day. I wish i could've taken a pic of the smash cake to include on this review so others can comment on it. I believe the customer is not always right BUT, if you can see the evidence with your own eyes, you can at least make it right, and not insists that the cake is good eventhough it is NOT. I decided to get a refund for the Elsa smash cake. This is unfortunate because my granddaughter is celebrating her birthday today. I hope your bakery employees can do a better quality check...
Read moreYes. Thank you BelAir for a real positive customer service experience. Sacramento has way too many warehouse, bag your own pallet of toilet tissue type grocery stores for me. I'm used to Lucky,Safeway etc... So when we moved here I had to adapt. Cool,I'm flexible and Wal-Mart's prices are great.
I shop at a number of places. BelAir across from Safeway on Laguna is clean ,fancy and expensive. They not only bag your stuff but THEY take it out of your cart and put it on the counter before ringing it up.When the cashier did that, I heard angels singing.
I was tired after my work day But every horrific thing I had experienced that day at my job before running in BelAir to shop was washed away by the lovely smile of the cashier.
I asked about an item in the deli and the MANAGER walked over to the deli area to see if they had it. The pearly gates of grocery heaven had opened for me. No surly, sarcastic response. Customer service at its finest.
Then my cashier pressed total and told me what my bill was and I quickly fell back to earth and to reality. You may want to mortgage your home or take out a loan before you shop there. Seriously. Safeway across the street had Progresso soup for $1.00 and BelAir for 3 for $5.00. Huh? I don't mind paying more for something in the Deli or Bakery, but Challenge butter shouldn't be 2.00 bucks more than all the...
Read moreThis is the location to visit for friendly service. Floral needs? See Jennine. She is absolutely the BEST! She adds the touches to every flower arrangement that makes them special. Same with balloons and decorations.
Meat counter? See Jay, Glen, Mauro. Their dedication and knowledge keep the butcher shop experience alive.
See Vickie at the deli. Always a pleasure. She makes great sandwiches.
Rich has been a fixture at this location and ensures the front end runs smoothly. If you see Albert at the checkstand, he is always there with a friendly smile. So is Janet, Jennifer and Sue. Brandon too. Special shout out.
The courtesy clerks are the best. Glad to see this location still caries out customer service traditions in the dreaded Walmart era that has killed the local grocery store chains.
From meat/deli/produce/floral, this is my number 1...
