Rose Palace — Restaurant in Elk Grove

My family and I have been going to Rose Palace since 2013 and every time we go there or have food delivered (about once a week) Friday's or Saturday's usually it about $35-$55 depends on what and how much we order. Great food the cook is excellent this is why we keep returning but the customer service stinks. I ordered food one Saturday and as soon as I got off the phone I received a phone call of a family emergency, and needed to leave right away. I called Rose Palace back to cancel my order and to explain to the girl that I have a family emergency and the girl was not trying to listen to me but started yelling at me and said order is almost done and I told her I just called, not even two minutes ago and she said yes its half cooked. Which I don't know how it can be half cooked in 2-5 minutes. Anyways, all she heard was cancel and she immediately said well you can never order form here again. That's fine with me but the fact that I was a customer already for 3 years and brought them business on a weekly basis of $35-$55 and just once for a family emergency they were not willing to work with me. She wasn't even trying to listen to me so we can work something out. Of course it's his/her restaraunt and they can run it as they wish to but they think that they are the only best Chinese food place. What they doesn't realize is that Chinese food is dime a dozen and just like a nail shop they are on every corner. So it doesn't bother me to go somewhere else but in return they should be concerned because his/her attitude stinks and they will lose customers. They don't understand the power of social media and customers comments/opinions make a difference. So think twice consumers before you take your business there. I’ve been coming to rose palace for now 3 years now to get there amazing chicken fried rice that usually takes about 15 min to prepare every time..I recently ordered from them this past Friday which only took five minutes to prepare me not thinking to much of it maybe they just prepared some for a previous guest.Now after taking 5 bites of this chicken fried rice, I began to feel really sick to my stomach, and had to throw up. I went to call them when I was feeling better not even a few hours after ordering and to let them know what happened. The worker began to tell me all there food is fresh and prepared as soon as we call to place the order okay, yeah, I somewhat believed him. But there was something wrong with that order then. He had no understanding thinking I was lying I told him I will bring the plate to him he insisted on their food being fresh. Today is now Monday and I still feel sick to my stomach. Each restaurant has its own unique recipe and interpretation on preparation. I have tried various locations in the region, but it’s the delicious food that keeps me returning for more.

The owners and staff are an example of excellence.

It’s just one of the gems in the region that makes it an extraordinary example for other businesses.

Michelin ratings have evolved into something for the snobs. A Michelin rating system is basically a rating system to help people know that it’s worth wearing out some of the rubber on their Michelin tires. With that said, Rose Palace is definitely worth the drive.

I can’t say that I agree with a food delivery driver giving this place a review based on time when this place is an actual restaurant and not a fast food place. I don’t think I would use the app the driver is...
