Taqueria el puerto de Vallarta — Restaurant in Elk Grove

I called in an order for three jumbo shrimp burritos . I was told the order would be ready in 10 minutes. I was on the way there during Friday rush hour traffic. So ten minutes was perfect. I get to the restaurant in 20 minutes. I wait in line to pay my $35 for my burritos. There was some confusion about where my food was. Long story short it wasn't there. They gave my order to someone else.

I was then asked if I was the one who ordered three shrimp burritos, without any explanation they tell me my order would be right out. I didn't make a fuss. I waited for an explanation or some sort of apology. Nothing! I was there another 10 minutes. Still nothing the waitress were waiting for the cooks to finish making the food. They had their backs to me trying to figure out what happened. I overheard them say another customer came in with a bigger order. They food was given to them. The waitress that asked me if I had the shrimp burritos gave my order to another waitress to hand to me. Still no explanation or apology. As I am making sure I have three burritos, the nicest waitress says sorry about that and thanked me for waiting. They get an extra star for that waitress recognizing the situation and saying something..

Ok so where do I start, I called to confirm what was on my doordash order because they have got my order wrong before. I was placed on hold by the young lady that answered the phone. Unfortunately she did not mute the phone so I heard them laughing and joking in the background while I sat on hold for over 5mins. I finally hung up and called back but of course the call wouldn’t go through because the line was still on. After numerous calls back she finally answered the phone and after explaining my issue, all she could say was “sorry, it’s been a busy night.”

Like I’ve previously stated, this is the 3rd time a situation like this has happened with this place! I never leave bad reviews but when I asked her how could we make this right and all she had for me was sorry, I was done!

I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS RESTAURANT! Customer service is HORRIBLE and food is mediocre at best! I would come to this place out of convenience but the customer service along with the price point being a lot higher than the experience they provide, I can no longer patronize this place and will never recommend them!

I asked the lady multiple times, is this how you would like to resolve this situation, and she repeated multiple times, I can’t offer you anything else than “we’re too busy”.

Horrible customer service. They have great food but the customer service is appalling. I went in with my daughter yesterday and ordered her an enchilada plate to which they never brought out. So I asked the woman at the register who then questioned me whether I had ordered it in the first place. She said what was your number and could not find my order in the system. Not my fault. She then said I'll bring it to you. I saw her about 5 minutes later with another waitress pointing at me then the new waitress walked over with a portable credit card machine coming to charge me for an enchilada plate. Embarrassing! I then said I already paid for the enchiladas I'm not paying again! Then she goes back to the other woman who had my daughters enchiladas and handed them over to the waitress. I was so insulted that I decided to just get a refund and leave. She found the girl that took my order who was on a break when I asked for my daughters food and she confirmed that I did in fact pay for and enchilada plate.I'm sticking to taqueria Estrellas they are always nice and their food is...
