I guess I would have rated my experience with ABC 5 star 2 weeks ago, during the purchase of our $3000 appliance suite; however, after recent events, I would only give them 1 star now. The salesman seemed knowledgeable at the time and was very helpful with finding a refrigerator and stove within our price range, that would fit into our kitchen. During the time of purchase, we were informed that the refrigerator and stove would be delivered on the same day, the microwave a different day, and the dishwasher was on back order. We were given the name and number of an independent contractor who could install our appliances for us. The day our stove and refrigerator were delivered, we were told a few different time frames, the last of which was between 4-8pm. We were not happy when the delivery men pulled up at 8:40PM. They were loud, waking our sleeping 7 year old up. The refrigerator was damaged (it had a broken shelf) and they tried to take our front door off the hinges. He was not successful in doing this, and instead of putting the door back up correctly, he just left it. The refrigerator shelf being cracked is a minor issue, but we have been given the run-around with trying to have it replaced. (The delivery men told us to take it to ABC and they could take care of it, but the salesmen said no to that, that we have to contact Frigidaire directly to have it replaced.) This is my problem: due to COVID-19, Frigidaire’s customer service line is only open 8-3. I work from 7-5:30, so I cannot contact them (I doubt my 30 minute lunch is long enough, as you are typical on hold for lengthy periods on these type of calls). The second problem I encountered was had was during the microwave install. The way in which my cabinets are set up limits the kind of unit I can put in my kitchen. I have to have a door that flush with the unit (zero clearance). The unit we were sold is not a zero clearance door; I didn’t know this at the time of the sale. So, the guy came out to install it, got it completely in, then had to take it back out in order for us to return it due to the door not opening. I went in to talk to the the salesman we worked with. He was not willing to help correct the situation, even after being informed I have to pay the contractor to come install a different microwave. What I expected going in was a credit for the install so I could get a better unit. I looked at one and I expected to have to pay the difference. I was offered a $50 off. So then I was force to pick the cheapest one they sold that would work. At this point due to it being the cheapest microwave they sell in a zero clearance microwave I asked them to just swap the microwaves for the same price and still have to pay to re install the microwave, wrong again the salesman told me I would still have to pay $50 more dollar plus install fee again which is frustrating because these things should have been hashed out when I purchased in the first place. The reason for all this was he didn’t want to lose commission on the sale he had by dropping the price down any further. I even ask to talk to a manager and was told the manager could do no better than he could. It was not till I said I’ll pay the $50 but I never come back that he got his manager involved and he manager told him him to give me the microwave at the cost of the one I paid for before. Though once this happen the salesman start getting short and not want to be as friendly as in the first part of the sale. Overall my experience for such a large sale was poor at best.    Read moreDo not buy anything from this place as their customer service stinks and no one who works there cares about the customer. I bought a Samsung Galaxy Player there, granted it was the demo model but it had a sticker on it in the display case that said nothing wrong, everything works. Well when I got it home I found out that hardly anything worked on it. Not the GPS, not the blue tooth, not even the speakers on it, the only way I could hear music on it was to plug the head phones in. So I proceeded to call Samsung and open a ticket with them to send it in to get it fixed. But then I thought that maybe ABC would have a better connection with Samsung as they even told me that they had to send the device to Samsung since it was a demo and they got it back with Samsung's approval that everything was ok and working on it. So I figured ABC could send it in faster and since it wasn't my fault that it didn't work when I bought it they should pay to have it shipped. So I took it back and asked them to send it to Samsung to get it fixed. Well they drug their feet on sending it back for a week! Even when I called them a week later they said they hadn't even received the UPS labels to ship it back. How could a place like that not be able to get this taken care of right away!? Ridiculous! When I called Samsung I received the UPS labels the next day in my email! I should have taken care of this myself and I would have had the thing fixed and back to me by the time they even had it shipped out. I was so angry and I told the kid on the phone and he didn't try to do anything for me and he barely apologized for anything. Even when I went back to get my money back for the unrepaired device he barely mumbled sorry about that as we walked out the door. Terrible customer service! They should have been embarrassed to sell me a device where so many things were wrong with it and should have done all they could to get it fixed as spoon as possible. I just think this guy didn't want to help me at all. He did not care about the customer at all. I wasn't too thrilled about buying anything from ABC in the first place but I definitely will never buy anything from them ever again. And I will tell everyone I know not to do business with them either! They don't care about the customer...
   Read moreWe originally went to the Kentwood, MI location and they sold us a dryer that was completely crushed when we got it. My parents spent the weekend driving it down to us and upon opening it was smashed and box was in perfect condition? The sales person had a new one ordered to this location and to be delivered.
I had to call a few times and finally someone answered and told me the dryer had been in for a few days. They were supposed to call when it was in to schedule delivery.
Finally they show up for delivery, the guys come in the house smelling TERRIBLY of marijuana. To the point of I’m wondering if they were smoking in the truck on our property it was so strong and the smell stayed inside our house for a while even after they left. I had my son, an infant, in the house at this time.
They scratched our floor and ripped up pieces while “installing” it. I took pictures immediately upon them leaving when I went in there to finally use it and noticed.
When they were done they left the box and all the pieces of trash from the dryer packaging scattered all over our yard.
My dad called and left a voicemail and a couple days to a week went by and nothing. I finally called and they told me it’s “not their responsibility and I needed to call the person that sold us the dryer.” Whoever I talked to on the phone was rude to me as well and still to this day there has been no resolution. This happened on April 13th and it’s now July 5th.
We rent our house and will be responsible for paying for that floor to be replaced or fixed.
I would give this place 0 stars if I could....
