I had a very unfortunate experience at Concord Volcanoes today. My family and I will no longer be eating here, and this was always our go to restaurant for as long as I can remember. My sister even worked here for several years. My mom and I ordered 2 pizzas here today to go. When my mom went to pick them up she paid and then she was informed the pizzas got burnt so she would have to wait 15 mins for them to make new pizzas. My mom sat there waiting and texted me letting me know what was going on. I asked her if they offered a discount or anything and she said no nothing was offered. She then decided to ask the young lady if there was anything they could do for the inconvenience. She went in to speak with her managers and came back out and said no they would not do anything for the inconvenience. This is terribly disappointing and I have never seen a business operate this way. I myself work in business, and when there is a service failure, you make things right to keep people happy and buying. This has always been my family's favorite pizza place, and we will no longer be associating, as this is a very poorly ran business. The very least they could have offered she keep the burnt pizzas along with the newly made pizzas. It was just handled horribly all around. The fact she was told AFTER she paid about the burnt pizzas is disappointing as well. So she was given no choice to wait, and wasn't even offered anything for the inconvenience. Very sad all around. I myself prefer not to pay so much for pizza, and add the terrible service on top of it that definitely ruined it. This matter was addressed and our full amount was refunded. That was more than expected. Thank you so much for the time & care that went into this matter....
Read moreAnyone who’s anyone will tell you that I have always been extremely high on volcano pizza. They used to feed us after all the Concorde football games and I would purposefully go out of my way to introduce volcano pizza to anyone that I knew from out of town. Furthermore, I was was always keen on ordering a pie anytime I came to Elkhart. My last experience was dreadful. After purchasing at the least the 1000th pizza over the course of the last 20 years, I finally received the worst pie of all time. They skimped. That’s what they do now. They charge $20 for premium pizza. I never had an issue paying for it before. What I received was a Jack’s frozen pizza. If that. Nothing more nothing less. It had Very little toppings (ordered my go to, pepperoni/sausage/extra cheese), ridiculously small amount of cheese, and just a terrible amount of sauce. I could see more bread then a baker. It was by far the worst effort I’ve ever seen come out of a volcano pizza. Sadly, I will no longer be purchasing from volcano. They were the only pizza joint I would put up against anyone. No more. The staff was also extremely underprepared and just flat our sad. They still charge the same amount for that premium pizza but I can assure you it is anything but. So...

Husband and I picked this up on the way home for the kids and us. We always heard it was good, so we gave it a shot. Sadly, it was awful. We hated the sausage on it. We got the supreme and there was so much sausage crumbled all over the bottom that it gave a very weird texture and overpowered the taste of anything else. There was next to no sauce on it at all. Extremely spicy, also and I like heat but it was too much. We all agreed the crust was good but we ended up throwing out the pizza because we just could not eat it. We can always at least tolerate it but not this time. Worst pizza we have had since living here. We might try the subs but we will never get pizza there again.
*Updating this review to 5 star after I unfairly gave it 1 at first. Tonight we gave Volcano Pizza another whirl, this time with no sausage. We got pepperoni, ham, bacon, extra cheese and some veggies on it, along with some breadsticks with the sauce. I am now a believer! It is delicious and the breadsticks are amazing, also. We will now make it our official Friday night...
