Horrible experience. I went to get 10 new windows for a new house construction and gave the owner the correct measurement in a typed paperwork which i had from previous quotes. The owner wrote down all the measurements on the agreement and stated that these are the right measurements that i needed based on the information i gave to him. After a week i get a call that windows are ready to be delivered. I checked the measurements on the windows and they didn't fit so i went back to the store to talk to them about this issue. The owner had purposely written down all the measurement incorrectly to scam us on the windows he had in stock. I called and talked to them and all they could say that you signed the paperwork and that you are stupid that you can't read what the agreement said. I went to these store based on the nice reviews from below and trusted them to do the right thing but i was wrong. I recommend everyone to never trust these people and make sure you check everything they write because you will get screwed over as well. The customer service is out of the door since they are rude and hang up on you regardless if you are nice or frustrated. Also, they will overcharge you on windows that are not even close to Anderson silver-line quality. Stay away from this store and if you ever do a deal with them make sure you check everything you signing because they will scam you and give you cheap quality windows. I have been buying from Dorwin for about 16 years, and my father before me. Out if 11 double pane, double hung windows, I had 2 break seals (the same one twice). All the others are still in great shape. They repair the windows for a smaller price, and the sash just snap back in. Now I see Andersen Windows mentioned here. I have 3 Andersen Windows, one of which has a broken sash cord, so I can’t say they are any better! Renewal by Andersen just gave me a price of $1700 per window for 10 windows, so my total would be $17,000 for vinyl clad replacements!!! Dorwin’s price was $320 per window installed, for a total of $3200!!! I can replace windows FIVE times for the price of Renewal by Andersen. Plus, Andersen windows might be made in the US, but they might also be made in Canada or Italy. Dorwin is made right here in Elmwood Park, and the profits are kept right here in NJ. I say “think before you buy.” And to the naysayers here, I say, “think before you post a review.” I have been quite pleased with my Dorwin windows, and they have served me well for nearly 2 decades. Also, do you really believe some of these review? “They took my screens for repair years ago and I have never called them or traveled to Elmwood Park to get replacements” ??? After dealing with several local window companies and getting overpriced quotes, missed consulting appointments, and unprofessional employees, I almost gave up on booking with anyone. Initially, my sister and I went to Dor-win location only to ask for information on windows for a residential home. Not only did we get information, but we had one of the best experiences making a large purchase. Sarah helped us in the store and was knowledgeable, a great listener, patient, empathetic and flexible. Sarah helped us finalize the order with exactly what we needed to move forward with our plans! Both Sarah and Aubrey assisted us throughout the process and followed up with any updates. In addition to the amazing in-store experience, the installation process was just as good. The installation team (including Julio who initially measured the windows) were 100% professional, checking in with any suggestions and questions. They addressed all challenges quickly, professionally, and cleaned up completely, as they worked.
