Unfortunately, although I was very excited about the high Yelp rating, I was not shocked or amazed. I ordered the sirloin steak that I saw in another reviewer's picture, and my order was not similar. The portion size was small. The meat was very grisly, and the chef did not slice completely through making eating it a bit of a mess. It was supposed to be strips but it was strips connected with a very tough strip of gristle.
That said, the strips that I managed to break loose without pulverizing, were tasty when dipped in that tiny container of dipping sauce.
Given that my whole meal was about 6 oz of meat, I expected a little bit more rice than I received. There was not more than three heaping tablespoons of rice.
The chicken coconut soup tasted good, but I've definitely had better. This is a dish that I've eaten at literally hundreds of Thai restaurants and I feel highly qualified to evaluate.
While I'm feeling a bit Uber critical, I have to say something about the glass of water. I don't know what it is that causes this, but the water had a slightly fishy taste and smell. I've had this happen before in restaurants.
Service was very friendly and I'd say it was even fast, especially given there was only one employee. He was doing his best to be friendly with every customer but being so short staffed, even in this very small restaurant, meant he was only able to do the bear essentials.
The restaurant was immaculately clean, and their bathroom immaculately clean. They have a tiny dedicated parking lot, but I pretty easily found parking curbside.
Full disclosure, I heard other customers leaving commenting on how amazing the food tasted and how they will be back soon. Unfortunately, maybe it was my choice of food, but I won't be back. There are too many better options for Thai...
Read moreWOW this place is amazing!! Our server was nothing but patient, kind and helpful even though we arrived shortly before their lunch closing time. Because of our timing, we left a huge tip in return for the inconvenience and also because this establishment simply just deserves it and more.
Upon arrival, you are greeted with the most lush, aesthetically pleasing environment with a staff that welcomes you with open arms. We were seated right away and were given ample time to look at the menu since it was our first time dining in. Everything looked amazing!! We were we awestruck by all their food items we didn't know what to get lol.
Once we decided, food came out pretty quickly! Their mushroom tempura appetizer maintained its crunchiness without losing the rubbery texture of the mushrooms, and their spicy mayo that came with it was soooo good. Tonkatsu sando was seasoned to perfection, the milk bread was super soft, and the ribeye was smooth and melted in your mouth like butter.. we were shocked. Some steakhouses can't even meet that expectation! We weren't able to try dessert because we didn't want to hold them up for too long, but we will 10000% be coming back to try it! Parking can be limited, however there is a public parking garage across the street with a free 4 hour parking limit. Come here photo ready and with an empty stomach because this place has all your...

We were immediately drawn to the two “Secrets of Tiger” menu specials — Pad Thai Chai Ya and the Khao Sud Soi. While they seemed a bit pricey on the menu ($31 each), they were gorgeously plated and so massive that we took home leftovers for both.
This restaurant is apparently the first in the US to serve Pad Thai Chai Ya, and they’ve definitely perfected it — the tamarind and crab made it taste a bit more complex than your typical pad Thai, and the fried soft shell crab on top was both a visual and flavorful treat.
The Khoa Sud Soi was also tasty and not too spicy (though they provided chili flakes to up the ante on the heat if so desired), and the wreath of fried noodle crisps was gorgeous. The artistry in these dishes was surprisingly creative for a small little mom-and-pop shop.
The vibe was a mix of vintage Thai decor with a modern alt-pop aesthetic. The dining area is small so I’d recommend booking a table just to be safe (we were able to walk in during lunchtime on a Tuesday).
The service was friendly and welcoming (the auntie in the kitchen smiled and waved to us as we left!). I wouldn’t be surprised at all if a family was running this little place all together.
Secret is out on this place — it’s an absolute must for any and all Thai...
