Went to the store on Tuesday to talk to a sales rep about my old phone acting up, and the possibility of upgrading early. The team at the Emporia Verizon is top notch, explained all of my options, and even gave me a few suggestions for phones I might like. Needless to say I took a new phone home that night, with the understanding that I could bring it back within 14 days if I didn't like it.
It wasn't the phone that had been my first choice, and while it was a great phone, it just wasn't my style. I returned it Wednesday afternoon with absolutely no problems, they got me in and out in no time at all and ordered in the phone I had had my eye on. They got my old phone reconnected for the day and a half it took to ship the new phone to the store.
As soon as the phone was in the store I got a call letting me know I could come pick up my new phone whenever I had time. I worked with Ashley to get my new phone all set up, and she made quick work of the set up, all while carrying on a good conversation. I got there around 2:30, and I was out by 3 with my new phone all set up. Ashley even made sure to download a few essential apps for me, since I was switching to a Google phone that didn't come preloaded with the Verizon stuff.

Read moreAfter many outages from Cableone, I finally decided to go to Verizon for my internet and a cell phone. (Until now, I'd had only a landline.) I visited the Emporia store this morning and was fortunate to work with Ashley Harris.
Full disclosure - I am a tech illiterate and have no interest at all in learning more about how it all functions - I just want it to work when I need it! Ashley walked me through the installation process with great patience, and I was sure that I grasped everything. However, when I confronted my computer here at home, alone and mentorless, I couldn't complete the installation.
I called Ashley, and she took me as far as she could from a distance, but I still wasn't able to access the internet. I was amazed when she asked for my address and said she'd be right over! Needless to say, once she got here, everything went smoothly, and I'm connected.
If I could give Ashley more than five stars, I'd certainly do so. She showed a great deal of patience, never making me feel like the computer idiot that I am, and went far beyond the call of duty. I'll certainly recommend the Emporia Verizon store and Ashley...
Read moreI recently received the most exemplary service from Eswin at the Emporia retail store. After AT&T incorrectly told me that my mother’s landline number could be ported over to her new address, I panicked, because, with her move to assisted living, I knew how important having her old number would be for her. I then discovered I could add Mom to my Verizon account and use a special wireless device to transfer her home number. I contacted the Emporia store, and Eswin ordered the device that day and called me immediately after it arrived.
He gave me detailed instructions on how to set it up, which I was unable to do before returning home to California because the service was activated after I left.
The most amazing part of Eswin’s service was that he went to my 89-year-old Mother’s assisted-living apartment on his lunch break to set the device up for her. She just wouldn’t have been able to do it herself. She now is reconnected to friends and family, which is huge for her. I am truly awed by Eswin’s kindness.
