I had a horrific experience at this Dick’s location.

An employee was helping me place an online order in-store at this Encinitas location when he inquired into the origin of my last name. I told him the country I am from. He then began speaking about geopolitical conflicts, to which I nodded politely to try to avoid the topic. He told me that him and his family celebrated an attack on the country I am from that killed 300 innocent people. When I pointed that fact out, he laughed and smiled at me. I have never in my life seen such a gleeful response to the killing of hundreds of human beings. This is disgusting, morally reprehensible behavior. I finished my transaction and walked out, and I will NEVER be returning.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Me and my boyfriend went here to buy work out clothes and everything was going great until checkout. A man with face tattoos named Armaan checked him and me out at the register. He said hi to me and scanned my items, the second he got to my boyfriend he didn’t say a word, dead silence, from scanning to his total not one word. Look man, I work in retail. I get it- and I hate to be "that guy." I just wanted to buy some Nike underwear in all black medium, but the one box was ripped. Knowing the ins and outs of retail, I figured it'd be a no brainer for a 10-15% price adjustment. But nope! The dudes would've rathered fished around in the back for another and send the other box away. Like, dude?? What should've been a quick, easy and friendly transaction turned into an annoying quarrel with the staff because the MOD couldn't even be bothered to come out and talk to me. Sure as hell am not shopping here again....
