Dr. David Chao: For 18 years, since my breast cancer surgery, I have struggled with range of motion with my left shoulder – after your amazing talents were put to work on my shoulder – I wanted you to know how much you have improved my life. It has been years since I’ve been able to pick up a coffee cup, a half gallon of milk, and raise my left arm above my shoulder. One day after surgery – not only was my pain level less than before – but I only required ONE pain pill post op the day after surgery. The video that you provided to me was the most fascinating video that I have ever seen – I am addicted to watching your work inside my shoulder. When I spoke to Shawn – he answered all my questions on what the video showed, and you certainly are a MASTER at that type of surgery - I don’t know if many patients really like to watch their surgery, but I have always been medically oriented and it is absolutely riveting to me as I watch your grabbing the pieces of bone and sucking them out of my shoulder. I cannot thank you enough for changing my life and my shoulder – I’m looking forward to doing the PT, and for the first time in 18 years, being able to have motion in that shoulder to allow me to do “free motion quilting” which was much too painful previously. One week after surgery, my pain level is completely tolerable – my range of motion is getting better every day – but I realize that I will still have some ROM issues due to the surgery that was done in 2000 for my breast cancer when 21 lymph nodes were removed. I am the most delighted patient that you probably have had in a long time.... thank you again for making my shoulder much more capable of doing the things that I want to...
Read moreI had a swollen right quarter of my lower lip for three days. I went to an Urgent care and was told I had an allergic reaction to a medication and instructed to stop taking one of my medications. I sought assistance on the weekend when I became concerned I may have a serious situation. My instincts told me something else was causing the swollen lower lip. I contacted Dr. Rodriguez on Monday and we set up an appointment. After a conversation to seek information about what the cause could be and a thorough physical exam of my face the cause was found. A deep sinus infection trapped in the lover cavity on the right side of my face. A prescription was called in to my pharmacy and within 24-hours I felt better. I attribute the correct diagnosis to the time Dr. Rodriguez took to thoroughly find the reason for the infection and provide me with the information about the cause of the deep...
Read moreDr. R takes her time and actually listens to you. She is kind, has great bedside manner, is empathetic, and booking an appointment (that isn’t 6 weeks in the future) is a breeze. Telehealth has also proved to be really useful during all of this covid mess. We moved to the area about 6 months ago, and I was so used to being seen by doctors that rush you through the appointment and you leave feeling completely dissatisfied...like you are just another number on their books. I like that I can view all of my health records online. For example, her Med tech (Josh) took a pic of my physical blood test and after quickly scanning a patient-specific wic barcode, it was uploaded in less than a minute! If you want an amazing, responsive primary care physician, this is...
