Great place to come find some bargains. Like everything, prices are going up, but still way cheaper than goodwill and it actually does go to a good cause. They have a food pantry and help the community and the workers are nice. Parking can be tricky. But it's worth a look.
EDIT!: Its been a year since I posted my original review. Man things have changed. I still appreciate the good they do helping the community, but for a religious organization designed to help those in need, it’s gotten ridiculous. Anything really worth having goes to the manager and her employees first. Witnessed it first hand. Watched her put nice items right in her car! They took away the public bathroom, which is crazy. I’m in there sometimes 3 hours at a time usually with a child. Ok fine. Now they’ve taken away the one mirror in the store where you could kind of see what something would look like on that ironically had a sign on it that said “you’re beautiful”. I guess not beautiful enough because they took that away from us too. On top of that when you walk inside, you literally feel like you’ve walked inside the gates of hell they keep it so hot in there. Parking is still a mess and the pricing has gotten atrocious. I might as well just go to Walmart. This is a thrift Store not a freaking boutique!!. Besides one young girl, the employees are rude and hateful. The last straw for me … I was in there the other day and I bought some children’s clothing. Mind you I go in there about three times a week and I was just in there a couple days before buying the same exact thing. I have always been charged $1.99 for kids clothes and that was what has always been on the signs. This last time I went in there the young boy (Jeremy) charged me $2.99 per item which is the same as adults. When I got to the car, I checked my receipt because I thought it seemed awfully high and sure enough I saw the mistake. Because I am partially disabled and I was about to have a heat stroke from being in there so long and it being so hot in there, I sent my nine-year-old daughter back in there to ask about it. He was rude to her and told her that only infant items are $1.99. Well, OK let’s say he is right, (he ISN’T) then where is the consistency because in Florence Coldspring and up until that day in Erlanger I have always been charged $1.99. He also tried to overcharge me five dollars on a blanket I got. Didn’t even check the price and put in $15 when it was marked 10. Absolutely ridiculous. This my friends is not the showing the love and mercy of Jesus. Can’t believe the church and Sisters allow this debauchery to go on. Don’t waste your time and money, and if you do decide to go in there, know your prices and watch them like a hawk. Now I know why they never want to give you...
Read moreI have been doing business with St. Vincent De Paul Erlanger store now for 3 years. Customer service, professionalism, and just a friendly smile are all things that draw me in and make the buying experience fun! Between my father and I, we have spent more than $14,000 on furniture, shoes, toys, purses, clothes, and anything we could find for our own personal needs or for others for relief effort or for gift ideas. There are two ladies that i want to recognize for their valiant efforts and are the only sole reason i keep coming back. The first one is Kristal. I gladly drive all the way from Williamstown , where i live to come to this location to be greeted with her smile. KRISTAL always asks how my family is doing and offers to help me find what im looking for. My dad worked for a grocery store down in the country for 50 years where we live and is a well respected man of our community because of the customer service he has given to others during his years of service before he retired. He has told me on many accounts that Kristal is one of the few people that he has met with excellent customer service skills, and he feels she is a great representative for St. VINCENT De Paul. Her good attitude will always bring us back for more business. Santana is the second leader for this location i want to recognize. She is always working hard with Kristal, making sure the store stays organized and stocked. I see both of those girls working as a team all the time with the crew in the back to get all the donations out for folks to buy. Santana, just like Kristal, always has a smile and is super friendly and willing to help. Those two girls make a great team.....Teamwork makes the dream work. I know there are so many hard workers on those docks and in the back working extremely hard during these hot days. Please note that i have referred many people from my community to this location, and they all noted to me that they had a great experience! Keep up the great...
Read moreI just returned from trying to donate items at St Vincent DePaul in Erlanger. I found the man receiving donations is rude and heartless. I have been going thought my mothers items and tried to donate her walker and other medical items because she is no longer with me. He told me they are unable to except them because they were dirty. I bought them back to the house and washed the dust and dirt off and made sure to wipe them down. I put the items back in the car and grabbed a box and placed clean items from her kitchen and some of her nicknacks. When I returned he was even more rude than the first time. His first statement to me was “ Did you wipe them down and not just wipe them down.” I told him “ yes I did.” I was wrong for grabbing any box available to put her glass nicknacks in because he was sure to point out that it smelled like mildew and made a big seen out of it. He told me they are not there to take my trash so I can sell my house. I will never donate anything to them again. I left there hurt and almost in tears. I was just trying to give items my mother cared about to someone else. I am hurt to be told by this man that...
