I donāt usually write 1 star reviews, but hope I can save others the trouble I just went through. I have gotten every prescription since Iāve lived in Escanaba from Walgreens, for 15 years never had many problems. I have been on a simple prescription for almost a year, which is still current with an available refill. Today over the course of 20 minutes of holds and transfers I spoke with a call center representative, 2 pharmacy technicians and a supervisor. None of them were able to answer my questions on why my prescription was under review for over 24 hours with no notifications(though Iām set up for notifications). Finally the latter pharmacy technician told me āWe are not able to dispense your prescriptionā, and would not explain why. After I waited on hold for 3 minutes the supervisor informed me āMy pharmacy technician just told me that your prescription does not meet our requirementsā, but refused to explain why only stating āIām not going to get into that itās too longā and that I need to get my prescriptions somewhere else. Ā Ā Ā Read morePharmacy staff is the kindest around. I've used the Escanaba location since 2012, so the staff recognizes me and knows me by name. They go above and beyond when insurance hang-ups cause delays. If they are unable to resolve an issue due to their position, they provide me with steps and verbal instructions and sometimes even numbers for calling insurance or drug manufacturers or primary care providers. The pharmacists are great at catching interactions and answering questions and even the pharmacy tech have caught potential drug interactions. I do not like that Corporate has absorbed and bought out so many of the smaller pharmacies in the community that served us well over the years. As a result, the pharmacy staff is overworked and swamped. While they are still personable and friendly, it was a loss for the community for Walgreens corp. to buy out the smaller pharms. I went right over to see when It would be ready. Christmas eve and all. They young man working was super nice. Told me they only got 2 out of the 3 he suggested I call them. As I was on the phone. A older women working in the pharmacy. As I was on the phone with threnurse. I was reading off what they sent and Walgreens also confirmed it online. She rudely yells over me we do not have them all!
