This business doesnāt even deserve 1 star. Me and my son almost lost our lives due to negligence because of this company. I purchased a $1600 washer and dryer set. The dryer is gas and electric. The gas line to the dryer was improperly installed and caused me and my son to become ill from breathing in gas for over 4 and a half weeks. We were sleeping a lot but did not smell the gas. I just so happened to call the gas company about my bill and the rep asked me would I like to schedule to have my meter checked because I was due for maintenance. So we scheduled it for Saturday. I purchased the dryer on June 10th and when the gas company came that Saturday. He called and asked if he could come 4 hours earlier that was God saving me and my sonās life. As soon as the technician arrived from the gas company he immediately smelled gas. He checked the back of the dryer and the light turned red!!! He told me my house could have blew up. He then turned the gas off to the dryer and red tagged it. I immediately called and reported what the technician from the gas company said. I talked to JR then he called Roland. Roland promised he would be there on Monday because he doesnāt work weekends. Monday came no call no show on Roland part. I began calling the store and JR answered. He told me he would be at my house after 6pm when the store closes. When JR came he had a broken hand and couldnāt complete the job because he couldnāt use the tools to get the gas line off. How unprofessional of Roland to send someone that couldnāt complete the job. The next day Roland came and supposedly fixed the gas line which he didnāt. Something told me to protect my son and I and purchase a gas leak detector which I did from Amazon. I had expedited shipment. It came the next day. I went and checked the gas line and the machine went crazy. Beeping and turning red. That meant there was another gas leak. Called the fire department they came out and said there were high levels of gas in the basement due to the dryer having a leak. They turned the gas off and called the gas company to come out. At this point this company is incompetent and should not be installing any gas appliances. If they donāt know what they are doing pay someone that does before someone looses their lives!!!! I was protected by God but someone else may not be so lucky. And when Roland came the second time to repair the dryer he broke my exhaust pipe and I had to pay $100 to have that repaired on top of $125 for installation. What a rip off!!! I will never deal with this company as long as I live and I will be making sure that no one else goes through what I did!!!!! But from the moment I opened the door and was blasted with a smoke filled room and very few appliances I knew then this was not the same Turney Dunham I used to do business with a few years ago.( By the way I do not recommend anyone shop at Turney Dunham appliances. You will be disappointed) I immediately left and drove to ER appliances on Lakeshore. I was very satisfied the moment I walked in the space was organized and filled with brand new appliances. I told them what I was looking for found the washing machine I wanted price was fair. I then came back the next day with my wife and bought a fridge. Excellent customer service.
