We have been in Euclid for three years now and think we've finally found our local watering hole for when we want to go out and have some nice food and drink while still keeping it casual.
Our server was nice and attentive. While my wife picked two different mixed drinks from the menu they were unable to make for one reason or another, the ones she did get were pretty spectacular. I got beers and they have a pretty varied selection whether you like to keep it simple or mix it up, as I tend to enjoy when out.
Our appetizers were pretty good. We got their soft pretzels which were fantastic and their wings which were nice and crispy but pretty much lacked flavor. They were supposed to be of the garlic parmesan variety. I would get the wings again if they expanded their variety or seasonings and sauces.
The dinners were great. My wife got a lobster BLT and fresh made potato chips, all of which she thoroughly enjoyed. I got a mushroom swiss burger with fries. The beef patty was very adequate and nicely cooked and the fries were seasoned with a nice blend of spices, though were a smidge salty gor my tastes.
Overall, we were really happy with our experience and look forward to going back. They have a really nice patio that we plan on utilizing on future visits. If you are in downtown Euclid, I suggest giving them a try. They make good food and drinks and I wish them continued success, as they are a good place to have in...
Read moreGuess I should have tried the veggies. I am 41 and have never written any review of any kind. I work in the public and don't care for people bashing others for honest mistakes. But when you advertise Paragon is perfection... be prepared for some back lash.
I wasn't looking for perfection. I had read some rave reviews about some veggie dishes and the well written menu. My agenda was simple. Tired, hungry and craving a burger. For 9 bucks my expectations were not that high. But, some of the best burgers I have had in my life came from some hole in the wall dive bars. This place advertises perfection so how bad could it be?
To give credit. I ordered carry out. When I walked in, cool vibe, friendly staff and immediately greeted. I was in and out. Paid, tipped and went home. Now the bad. This was the worst burger I have had in my life. The presentation was nice, but the burger was flavorless. It also came with potato salad, that I thought would be the savior. I am not sure, but I think it was made with Miracle Whip. Absolutely tasteless and disgusting. I tried some ketchup, which I think is a sin, on the burger and some pepper on the potato's and still couldn't choke it down.
The place looked cool enough. Maybe if I start drinking heavily I will be back. I will never order Paragon's Food again. Too bad.... Euclid really needs some strong anchors on...
Read moreHorrific experience with both female and male bar tenders!
I bought a single glass of wine and couldn't even drink it! Female Bar Tender so offensive it was crazy! Shocked and in Disbelief as she character assassinated another patron who was a member of a group who came to the "PARAGON" to celebrate a birthday, exclaiming that owner cut him off. There could have been a Polite Manner by way of concern rather than complete Belligerence even toward me solely for asking. Male bar tender went Ballistic over something Rediculously Trivial and while I complied with his irate demands, he proceeded to Threaten me, Bullying me, screaming and making a scene! I left my glass with him, behind the bar to go outside for a few minutes but he wasn't satisfied and continued to insult me, shouting that he was throwing my glass of wine in the Garage! And then throw me out for Absolutely NO Reason At All! I later found out his name is Dominic. Neither bar tender should interact with people as they Do Not Fit the Part but More Importantly, I suspect they may both need psychological help. This rating reflects them but not the food or the atmosphere because the food is good and decor is beautiful. It's just a shame that both bar tenders spoiled what could have been a pleasant...
