While I do not think of myself as a snob--but really, aren't snobs the last to know that they are?--shopping at ALDI's didn't seem je ne sais quois? You know what I mean! Until I shopped there. The joke was on me! ALDI's has the best fresh fruit and vegetables in town; and several things that aren't readily available in town. For example there's those tiny potatoes, not just white, but orange, red, yellow and purple--all together in the same bag for less then the Big Bird store; I mean MUCH less than at Big Bird's! Foccocia rolls that have real taste when heated on the griddle with butter--Butter, that is also cheaper there, than everybody's, especially Big Bird's! Assortments of packaged cheeses, pre-made hummus, jars of Indian sauces ready to be spiced up with birds nest peppers, served over Basmati rice--also sold there--and if you remain silent, everybody will imagine that you've finally mastered The Art of Indian Cooking. I can talk about the joys of ALDI's non stop. Step right off that imaginary perch that you think you're on, and step UP to Aldi's. You can thank me later. Read moreHave never been to an Aldi, was looking for a new market to become my main grocery go to. Well, be warned this antiquated company uses latex gloves for everything. The sign is even in the front from the company. Even HOSPITALS don't use latex gloves, for a latex allergy sufferer like myself the risk of buying from this company isn't worth it. The fact that they're lackadaisical about an extreme allergy for some shows me they're uneducated and probably don't oversee other allergens in their food handling. There's so many glove types that are latex free, why use this? All i can say is you lost a future customer all in the name of antiquated "safety" measures. Do better and get a safe...
