We had dinner here early on a Friday evening. We walked in just after 5 and were joyfully greeted by what appeared to be the bartender. We made small talk and he took us to our table.
A woman walked up and quickly got us waters and our kids some sodas and told us our waitress would be with us.
After that, things seemed to grind to a halt. There were only 2 tables inside, and there appeared to be a few outside, but I wouldn’t call it “busy”.
There was a table of what were obviously regulars near us that signaled some of their friends from the road to join them.
When the waitress did come, her attitude towards the “regulars” was at least noticeably more pleasant, but she definitely seemed to be having a bad day… or just didn’t want to be there.
After waiting for about 10 minutes, she made her way over and asked if we were “ready to order”. This was her way of introducing herself I suppose.
So we ordered two beers, two appetizers, the bone in pork chop to split for my wife and I, and a large pizza for the kids.
The apps came out quickly. The Beet salad was tasty.
After we finished our apps, it was clear her overall attitude towards us had bled over into her forgetting to bring our beers, so I went to the bar and ordered two more and brought them back to have for our entrees.
When she delivered our entrees, she made no apology, and pretended to not even recognize that we magically had two completely different beers on our table than what we’d ordered 15 minutes earlier.
The pork chop was delicious and cooked to a perfect medium. Seasoned perfectly, green beans were a nice al dente with a fresh crunch and potatoes went well. Kids scarfed the pizza.
When she came back to check how the food was, my wife asked if we could have our beers we originally ordered and she said “sure”. How gracious!! It was almost laughable how dismissive she was of us.
Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant over the chains nearby. The kitchen clearly cares about what they do. And the bartender and first server we spoke to were kind and hospitable to us.
I think we may have just caught our main server on a bad night. We would go again for the pork chop...
Read moreSoooooooooo..... the first time we came here it was spur of the moment. It was evening time and we dismissed the horrible service as everyone might be tired. So we decided to try again on a Sunday afternoon. Our waitress NEVER introduced herself, she behaved as if she hated her job. So per the usual we didn't take it personal and assumed maybe she's having a bad day. Until a white family was seated directly behind us. Don't you know we saw our waitress smile and be friendly for the first time since we arrived A HOUR PRIOR (still without having our food order taken by the way). So we tell her we're ready to place our order, cause you know, she clearly forgot about us right? Well her smile completely disappeared while taking our order, which was very confusing for us considering we JUST saw her being so warm and friendly to the other customers. Needless to say the entire time we were there we were COMPLETELY ignored by our waitress!! Like she checked on the family in the booth DIRECTLY behind us often, and then walk off. We finish our meal and THIRTY minutes go by without her clearing away the dishes, saying anything to us, or even giving us our check. I asked another waitress if we can have our check and she informed us she'd have to ask our waitress. She brought us the check and simply dropped it on the table and walked off.
That's TWO horrible experiences in a row at this place. I didn't realize that to receive friendly service here one had...
Read moreAlright listen up guys this was our horrible experience listed below. We had 8 people and we each ordered around 12 dollars food. We were a bunch of college students in internship who just wanted a nice and quick lunch before going back to work.
If you don't care about time too much, the restaurant would be not bad; but if you just want a quick lunch break during work don't...
