Carter's Ace Hardware of Mount Dora — Local services in Eustis

I have been a loyal customer of this location for over 20 years, consistently receiving excellent service until today. Unfortunately, my recent encounter with an employee named Terry left me feeling unsafe and disrespected.

Upon entering the store, Terry immediately became confrontational and followed me out into the parking lot, where he aggressively confronted me, egging me on to engage in physical violence. As a customer, I should never have to defend myself from an employee's inappropriate behavior, especially from someone over 65 years old who should know better.

Despite this unpleasant encounter, I must commend the manager for their handling of the situation. They remained calm, respectful, and addressed the issue with the professionalism it deserved.

Overall, my experience at this location was marred by Terry's unacceptable behavior. I sincerely hope that management takes appropriate action to ensure that customers are treated with the respect and safety they deserve...

They have a sale going on. Well they are out of some of the sale items. Oh but we do rainnchecks, if you will go ahead and pay for the items on the list. We will pull them when the truck comes and you are guaranteed the items We will call you and let you know when that happens. Good idea NAW we were going by the store about 2pm Sat.and decided to stop in to check if the truck had came in. Yes sir, the truck had came that morning. Everything was on the truck that you had prepaid for except one item. Great I thought, paid for eight different items on the rain check in advance. We got two items that were on the list. Had to get a refund. A hassle within itself. Wife steaming mad cause we didn't get what we had prepaid for. Guaranteed to get. What the heck is going on here. I will guarantee one thing it will not happen again from us. If Lowe's does not have it we do without before going back to Ace is place. It not...

To be completely honest 5 stars is nowhere near enough!! My wife went to the Treasure Coast to assist with the people devastated by Hurricane Helene. Cade without batting an eye offered donations of products to help her in her quest. Not to mention when I spoke with him he was loading one of many boxes for the people in Tennessee and North Carolina!! Such as amazing soul to give whatever he could to help those in need. That is more then commendable and he deserves to be recognized by everyone for his selflessness. Please choose Ace Hardware of Mt. Dora for you home needs. Their employees are very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Thank you Ace of Mt. Dora!! This community is so grateful for you!! This country needs more...
