Very pleased with our experience. The salsa is outstanding. I was told it is the owner’s recipe and closely guarded. In any event, it’s delicious. In addition to the salsa, we started our meal with the guacamole, made fresh at your table side. You choose the extra ingredients. We got everything and it was served with the tortilla chips. It was creamy, fresh and flavorful. If you’re a guac lover, you won’t be sorry. I had the Grande Special and my husband had the Carnitas. When the entrees came, we were overwhelmed. The presentation is just awesome. Served on these huge oval plates and food enough to cover the entire plate. Beautifully plated, the aroma and colors, just mmm! (Chef’s kiss!). Very well done folks. The Grande Special included 2 enchiladas, a chile relleno, a taco, a bean tostada with lettuce, tomato, guacamole on top. Refried beans and rice. Everything covered in melted cheese. All large portions. I could not see the bottom of the plate. All was just outstanding. Fresh, flavorful, delicious. My husband’s Carnitas came with a large portion of Carnitas which melted in your mouth. Tender, flavorful. It was served with fresh warm tortillas, refried beans, rice, guacamole salad. Again, large portions well covered the oval platter it was served on. The restaurant itself is clean, bright and cheery. The staff was friendly and happy to answer questions and visit with us. We are so happy to have found this restaurant. We love good Mexican food and the choices around Lake county are pretty limited. Especially if you really appreciate authentic and tasty Mexican food. I went here on my dinner break saw that they had availability at the bar asked her if I could sit at the bar as I was by myself and didn’t wanna occupy a table just for one I get to the bar and I wait and wait and wait nobody approaches me finally someone brings out chips and salsa. I hadn’t washed my hands yet, so I was waiting until someone took my drink order to run to the bathroom to wash my hands, nobody came to me so I went to the bathroom to wash my hands. After waiting for about five minutes came back out ate all of my chips and salsa nobody ever offered me a drink or took my order. There was a couple sitting next to me that finished their meal. They got up and left. Their spot was cleaned. A gentleman came in by himself, got himself a margarita and his food delivered. I am sitting here trying to make eye contact with anybody everybody’s just running around nobody will look me in the eyes everybody’s avoiding me and I finally after 30 minutes and eating all my chips and salsa and my mouth is so thirsty just got up and walked out and I don’t understand why I was treated like that. I am a Server over 20 years and I am baffled. I understand being busy and I sat there very patiently It is very disappointing and I will never go back.
