The UPS Store — Local services in North Augusta

The manager at this store has been very difficult to deal with from the very beginning. I first encountered him at the Grovetown location when I moved here from Orlando, FL, where I had a UPS box for over 20 years. On February 14th, when I went to pick up my mail and pay my rental box fee, the manager asked me if I already had a box in Grovetown, to which I replied no. I couldn't understand why he would ask me that until I remembered our initial interaction when I was checking prices, and his attitude then caused me to decide not to get a box there.

Now, he's causing problems for me at the Evans location. When I informed him that I was there to pay my fee, he seemed to be having some sort of issue with the system and mentioned that it was new. After waiting for a while, I told him I would have to come back later. When I returned to pay, he informed me that he had closed my box on the day it was due for payment. It was less than 5 days from the due date when he closed my box. When I asked for the owner's contact number, he refused to provide it, and when I asked for the store number, he declined to answer any of my questions and walked away. He said his name is Babri, but I suspect he gave me the incorrect spelling.

I am concerned that his behavior may be motivated by my race. I feel obligated to warn others that he is not easy to deal with.

Oh, I also need to add I learned today he refused an important package that was sent twice. This is the kind of people we have to deal with in this world. I have no clue why this gentleman have a problem with me....

I recently visited the newly opened UPS store, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. Staffs were incredibly friendly and helpful, assisting me with all my shipping needs. The store is well-organized and clean, making it easy to find what I needed. The convenience of having a UPS store in my neighborhood is a game-changer for me. Never knew this store was here but kinda glad I found it .. I came to ship an Amazon return and there was a line of people being served by Katrina who's customer service was amazing.. but she was working alone and had another African American kid there working that was just sitting down reading while she was serving all the customers...
